They lower their terminal velocity by spreading their arms and legs to maximize drag, then tuck their legs underneath just before landing to cushion the fall. Like cats, they can also orient their bodies upright no matter how they start falling.

I hate when people jump horses over things. Can they NOT see how massive horses' bodies are compared to their stick THIN legs? Know what happens when a horse breaks a leg? So why why why?

@@jeffreybamford1171 Rarely, and only in emergencies. Forcing them to jump is just f'n sick. Horses evolved to live on plains, prairies, and steppes. Not a lot of things to jump over. Humans bred horses to be faster runners which made their legs even thinner and more fragile. People like you who think this is alright are garbage

@@jeffreybamford1171 Yes, pretty much every animal can jump when they need to. If you left your horses alone with those obstacles would they jump over them on their own? Of course they wouldn't. They only do it because you're making them, that's not "nature". Their lower legs are literally ALL bone with no muscle to protect it. How can you not see that?
My attention span is usually about 5 minutes for these videos, partially because a fair number of them are staged (arranged artificial, unreal). I have to admit that this one was quite entertaining, and I enjoyed watching it.
Speaking of entertained, for once even JR didn't have anything critical to say!
I could hardly believe it when I saw that there were 56 (!) replies under one his comments beneath the American fails video. Of course, it was JR and acool going at it again.
I get into some pretty heated arguments with people on other channels, usually about the New Testament of the Bible and Christianity, or the land war between Germany and the Soviet Union in WWII. I usually wear my opponent down by quoting about 4 paragraphs of facts that contradict everything they just said, and they eventually give up!
