I love season 2 Alec, but I forgot how sassy he was in season 1 and how often he rolled his eyes. I kind of miss this, but I wouldn't trade it for the Malec love!
I love how he doesn't make up excuses or give a socially acceptable explanation as to why he's leaving, he either just goes without a word or says something as simple as "I can't be here anymore". he's not even trying to pretend he's not annoyed out of his mind. what an icon
This is why I think he could make a great Slytherin or Ravenclaw if they attended Hogwarts. The others, especially Jace and Clay, would be reckless Gryffindors

Some moments just mess me up Like today I just got to the part of chapter 18 where *Cough* *cough* malec *cough* And luckily I was at home and what happened is I freaked out, Dropped the book and Had to leave the room because I was *CrYiNg* And squealing higher than dogs can hear...

this right here is why i relate to him on such a personal level oh, and demanding perfection from both self and others around self to pretend like self does not lack in any way that could possibly be causing self Extreme Issues.
He is not annoying. He is just rational and likes to think things through, plan and then jump in the fire exactly in that order. He is the only one that does that. Jace, clary do that in reverse order and then people like Magnus, Alec, izzy and others suffer the consequences of that. By season 3, he has found some one like Magnus who he can rely on if he needs it, understands him inside and out and loves him unconditionally, for who he does not have to actively look out and be responsible for and would do anything for him. Magnus lightens his burden. They both have one thing in common. They both have a martyr complex and a ridiculous sense of responsibility (they feel responsible for things and people they don't need to)
I didnt find him annoying.. in fact i fell in love with him right from the first episode.. he was jst following orders.. n it really happrned what he was afraid of like he was removed from the position for whatever they did in the first 5 episodes
