I live in Buckhead on this exact block and I’m not sure what city hood will do to help crime. The police come after the crime has been committed which is pretty much self-explanatory. I think we all want safer communities but for the life of me I don’t know why people are so fascinated with city hood and policing. If it happens nothing will change. 🤷🏽♂️

They’re nicknamed the “Park Cities”. Dallas also has been going through a major crime spike just like Atlanta. Even though the Park Cities are literally right in the middle of Dallas, they’ve seen no spike in crime. It is very rare for someone to be murdered in the Park Cities. It’s so safe, residents in the Park Cities leave their house and car doors unlocked. I feel like the Park Cities are safer due to them being completely separate from Dallas proper. There’s also a VERY strong police presence in the Park Cities. Literally on the Dallas side of the border there are panhandlers, on the Park Cities side…there are none. You may never know, it might workout the same for Buckhead…
It's time for Buckhead to secede away from Atlanta and become its own city. It also needs much more private security, and private discrimination over the types of culture that is allowed to be there.
Buckhead started changing for the worse about 20 years ago. They need to separate themselves from Atlanta because it will destroy them. Atlanta was also nice about 40 years ago.
