Come on guys......why are there comments like "that is not rossi......the gp bike would destroy the others if the driver could ride it.......and so on and so on...."
Rossis old gp bike was sold to a non gp driver. Here we see him with his VERY expensive and unique toy trying NOT to crash it or blow up the engine, but having a bit fun with it. If I bought this bike I wouldn´t even dare to ride it on a racetrack with such fools around me. He´s got big balls to drive it that fast. On a bike which is NOT unique he surely would be faster even with half the Power......
IF this was Rossi and if he drove the shit out of that bike, he would outstrip the S1000RR in two rounds. What do you think guys? A Stock bike can hold the speed of a Moto GP bike? Such crap only think riders who also think their stock Yamaha r6 goes 290 Km/h and more....
That bike is not a Desmosedici MotoGP, is a Desmosedici RR, a stock bike.

Aditya Swami the suter could be anywhere from 120hp to 130ish . its a 600cc ... honda has been supplying the moto2 engines which is basically the cbr 600rr engine
seeing as it is a race engine it could be even 140hp, the 600's atm are 125-130 for road bikes that last over 40k miles. They are also far lighter too. In the 125 class they only weigh around 70kg compared to a road going 125, around 125-130kg
the Suter is 190 BHP

Hello, first of all and to be clear, the video tittle has to be read carefully, it states Rossi's Ducati, not Rossi himself riding and also, the video was uploaded in 2017 and for that time Rossi was already riding for Yamaha and he will never be allowed to jump in a Ducati. actually, I bet he doesnt like them anyway. As I read in some other comments, the old GP bikes get sold most of the times and there you have it, the guy whit the Ducati bought one, good for him.

Why are all these slow riders in the track? Many people in danger. This is the reason we pay the entrance to the tracks for more safety, but this is not happening in that case. Please ride safe!
valko981 it was a VIP day filled with journalists, celebrities, and even a couple of racers like Toni Elias. There was a vast spread of skills, but for the most part, everyone had experience enough at the track where no one had any issues. I don’t think there were any crashes that day either.
Accident happens where we all experienced the tracks we thought it's not gonna happen. But, it did.
Before people say 600s are faster than 1000s on track, or before people say MOTOGP bikes are just as fast as production bikes.
Look at 1:12, the motogp bike rider didn't overtake the Moto2, it was a friendly ride along, not a race.
600 is not faster on a track. With 1 racer ride 600 and 1000 back to back ,1000 will be about 5 seconds 5 apart or more . Its doesn't have the power on the straight and exit power.

Howard Roark the Rossi bikenis owned by a friend of mine. He also owns Nicky Hayden's Ducati bike. The Suter is a showroom bike for Arch Motorcycles. Thanks for the compliments. The Suter wasn't pulling me in the straights. I was laying back to film.

No way the guy on the Duc GP bike was pushing, or it could have been detuned a bit for the track day. A GP bike in general could walk either of those bikes.
Not sure if it was detuned, but the rider did not own the bike. He was just a very lucky friend of the owner. Would you push very hard on an irreplaceable bike?!

I can't personally ride all the types of race bikes, but only in Ride 3, the times you posted sounds just ride. I used current gen r1 race spec and got 1:19 on Laguna Sega

That isn't Rossi's Ducati, is a Desmosedici RR (Rossi Layout version), is a stock bike.

How did Mazda Raceway allow that GP bike on the track with all their "noise restrictions" for trackdays?
Demond Wilson this was a no noise restriction day immediately following the wsbk races. Pirelli rented the track since it still fell under the special race weekend.

Marbid Bagas there was an issue with the gearbox not staying in a certain gear. You can hear it in one of the straight aways. It just dropped back into the lower gear.
It's not a MotoGP bike, it's a Ducati Desmosedici RR, a 62k Euros (a little less than 2M euros MotoGP bike) road legal replica of the MotoGP Ducati.

He was checking his mirrors which is a big no-no at the track. Usually you have to remove the mirrors, but this was a VIP track day that had many stock bikes straight from the manufactures for us to ride. I’m really glad there was just enough room for me to get by without being too scary.

Buenas, no lo habeis leido bien. En la descripcion dice que es una de las ducatis que ha utilizado Valentino Rossi. Ademas, el que pilota es el afortunado amigo del actual dueño de esa ex-moto gp, al ser una moto "unica" el piloto no va demasiado rapido, podeis notas que ni siquiera le estira las marchas, una 1000RR nunca quedaria al lado de una motoGP en una recta, ni por asomo.

He didn't get stood up when the Rossi bike passed inside him, nor did he get stood up when I passed him.
He was WAY off line. There were flag marshals and control riders there, and I would've gotten meat balled (black flagged) if I did something wrong. I instruct at a riding school and am very good about leaving room for other riders.

The BMW S1000RR can reach 200 in 7.71s and 300 in just over 19s. seconds. Pretty quick, but not compared to the Desmosedici GP18 Mugello, that reaches 200 from standstill in 5.45s and 300 in 9.72s
The domination of the MotoGP bike is convincing throughout, though the chasing BMW rider will still have it within sight up until around 200 km/h, where the Desmo is around 50 metres in front, and already accelerating through 240 km/h.
After this point the MotoGP bike really gaps the S1000RR convincingly. Where the S1000RR completes the quarter mile in just under ten seconds at a terminal velocity of around 250 km/h, the Ducati has increased its velocity advantage by an additional 20 km/h, stretching the advantage to almost 60 km/h as it approaches 310 km/h.
As the speeds increase so does the distance advantage to the Ducati. The BMW S1000RR hits 300 km/h in around 19 seconds and 1104 meters, the Ducati has already hit its limiter at 368 km/h, and is a whopping 256 metres in front.

You can hear Rossi is not using more than 3/4 the bikes RPM, he isn't even really using the brakes he's just engine braking, he's not turning as hard or fast as he could. This wasn't a race it was just messing around at the track, why would he risk breaking his bike and himself when it was just supposed to be a fun experience
