Thank you for this - I was about ready to sell my set, like the stick - hate the attachment method. Decided to see if anyone had come up with another solution and here you are. I've tested on the trees out back and found this to be more user friendly than oem suggested way. Only caveat I will point out for people to keep an eye on is the edges are "sharp" where we pass the prusik thru. Check those contact points periodically for wearing on the Amsteel. One other thing to mention that's not in the video. for storage I am leaving the prusik side hooked up as he is in the video, I am pulling the tag end all the way thru, flipping the loos loop over one of the step ends. Then you are able to wrap and secure very similar to OEM recommendations.
@@southernpublicpodcast7936 Yes. Got the hyperlites for this season. Have always used a rope mod on other sticks. Nothing wrong with their attachment method, just curious if you had any ideas on utilizing a rope mod with the hyperlites?
@Napier4547 I haven't tried a rope mod. Not sure how well it would work because there's really not a good pinch point for the rope to bite. I'll have to play around with it them and see.

Why didn't they just do a versa button system? Much better and can do daisy chain
@@craigholland2274 you can still use a daisychain. There is another video on here showing you how to do it or use a sinch strap.
how are you stowing the ropes now that the tag line isn't usable for stowing?
Any ideas on a tie method?
Do you mean by using a rope mod?
@@southernpublicpodcast7936 yes

Hey are you guys local to the Florida panhandle? If so I saw one of y’all’s tacomas I was in the 3rd gen taco
YEP that's me (Jamie), we all live here in NWFL. Can't beat those Tacomas
@@aironalvarez yes we are. That would have been Jamie.
Or they could have just supplied it with a cheap ass prussik tender. No excuses. this attachment method is junk how they provided it.
