      mister smith I worked in San Francisco for over 4 years while living in the Bay Area, and it’s truly a liberal paradise. From the SF poo maps, to hypodermic needles, to rampant drug usage out in the open. All the result of lenient Democratic policies. Nancy Pelosi doesn’t have to worry about that though being shuttled around by secret service and residing in a mansion with huge walls all around it.
      And it’s still one of the most expensive places to live? Thanks Democrats.

      It's statistically much safer than my neighborhood in San Diego. So comparably yeah. lol I didn't even think my neighborhood was THAT bad as long as you mostly don't go out at night and stay away from shady places when alone. We pay $1700/month to live in a rundown apartment where two people have been murdered on property in 2 years- one shot one stabbed in their own home. That's not including every killing and other crime that's happened in the area. Most people have to park on the streets but you have a 60% chance that your car will be broken into.

      It's way over exaggerated. No working or local person has ever been attacked by street kids, they go after tweakers because hard drugs aren't allowed on Haight street. Only hippie stuff. Someone asks for the wrong drugs and they chase them out of the neighborhood. Street Justice. The locals know most of them are nice

Not caused by the police, but their presence is part of a syndrome. My grandma talks about how great California is but she has been house-ridden for the better part of the last decade. I AM grateful for our weather (or lack-of..) of course not noting the wildfires...But definitely has been circling the drain for a while. Born and raised here (since the 80s) but even I have seen a lot of Southern California get much worse. I get that there's a vast difference between portrayals of life here in most movies vs reality..but movies from the 50s-70s make life here look a whole lot better than I have ever known it to be.

    That is such a lie, those police officers are not getting involved and looking the other way. You heard it, law enforcement well only react when they need to, no proactive stand,. In other words, we don’t give shit that your not feeling safe. Call us when you get mugged and maybe we will come around to see what happened.

  • @MondoBeno

    In the old days this didn't happen, because the cops had no sympathy for unemployed men who brawled in the street. You'd be picked up by the police, and they'd give you the option of a fine, a week in jail, or you could leave town. Nowadays, there's no vagrancy in small towns, because the cops will lock you up or escort you to the county line. But in a city, it's different. Cities like New York, San Francisco, LA, San Diego, and Seattle attract vagrants.

    This is what happens when you have a city that has no rules & allows any behavior that once was unacceptable & is now tolerated in the name of “ diversity “, “ inclusiveness “ and similar liberal buzzwords when they think anything goes & no one dares criticize it or say “ Enough is enough ! “ - Former SF resident 1964-1968, 1970-1980, 1990. Drakewood $100 for a studio apt, $300 for a 3 bedroom in the mid 1970’s. I knew people who had 8 room flats on Church St in 1968 for $200 a month. You could buy a victorian in the Mission for $ 30,000; one on Union Street for $ 300,000. One landlord started buying up places, raising rents and evicting long term tenants and thats why SF enacted rent control.

    • @danaecarriere8212
      @danaecarriere8212 6 лет назад +13

      +Mark Cross I would venture a guess, just by looking at the situation, and comparing it to what I've seen there before- as well as what is going on in my own city. (Another CA shithole suburb of LA- that only 20+ years ago was a really great place to live.
      Those are homeless transients. They likely have drug, or mental issues, compounded by the problems that homelessness bring on. (Remember the survival pyramid? The 3 things humans need to survive, are water, food & shelter. (I also add air as the 1st, but up until recently, clean air was a given.) Once a person has those 3 elements in there life, they can go from survival mode, into thriving mode. Meaning, your mind and energy can be used for other endeavors- and from there you can begin to build a life.) When you're homeless (however you got there- bad decisions, finances, mental, criminal issues, sickness)- your mind begins to wear down. It is very hard to live any sort of a decent life- and surely hard to secure employment.

    • @danaecarriere8212
      @danaecarriere8212 6 лет назад +2

      +Danae Carriere If you don't have an address, shower, changes of clothes, you can't find or maintain work. (It's hard enough in the job market for people who have all of these things, plus skills.) When you're homeless, you're automatically shunned by most of society. Even people who help & feed the homeless look at them as 'others'. Once you cross that line, it's incredibly hard to get back over. Even people who have degrees, and jobs are finding it hard to keep our heads & families above water. So how does someone bounce back from so far down?This mentality is what prevents most from even trying. Its hopelessness. The infighting between them is similar to the infighting we see all around us- just on a more violent & criminal scale. Most of us would just argue with someone, or walk away. These people are way more frazzled, so their violent reactions reflect that. (Just like most of us would never resort to sh*tting outside- but if we REALLY had to & no toilets around-we would)

      Undocumented Immigrants hiding from the police don’t go out committing crimes like the one seen at the start of the video. No need to blame all crime on one group of people.
      How will a sanctuary city help? Because if the police protects undocumented immigrants, they will be more willing to work with the police to report crimes. If the police arrested undocumented immigrants for committing crimes, they would never come forward and crime rates would raise. Also crime rates will raise because, for example, if undocumented immigrants weren’t protected. They would not report crimes. But a sanctuary city allows undocumented immigrants to report crimes without being arrested themselves.

Are son today is an ER doctor and our daughter a H.S. math teacher. Kids married have kids of their own. We all live close enough together to have Sunday dinners. peter bilt and here in NYC we have the same problem, illegal aliens and criminals have more rights than American citizens. There are neighbohoods that make you feel that you are walking in a 3rd world country or a shithole country!!!

    My suggestion is vote Republican Travis Allen for governor. That's Gavin Newsome's city. If he can't take care of a city, how can he take care of a state? For God's sake get it right this time California

    jail the drug addicts. Why normal pay taxes hard-working people have to put up with this scum of the earth. We all reap what we sowed. We all suffer but there is no excuse to make other peoples life miserable!

    If you're young and think you're missing all the fun and happening in cities like SF, LA, Portland, Seattle, etc. reconsider your thoughts. I was a young wanderer and vagabond in my 20's and early 30s and felt like I needed to be part of all the excitement, but the truth is, those places are shit holes. Seattle and the surrounding areas are still nice, some of Portland, but California is long gone. I moved to one of the least populated areas left in the lower 48 and life is much better. You aren't missing out on anything

    What a crock.
    1)Just inforce the laws on the books now.
    2)No new laws needed.
    3)Drug test the politicians.
    4) Repercussions not revolving doors.

    These SF residents need to be tolerant of those less fortunate. Appreciate and respect them and the situation they are in, because it's society's problem... LOL Always LOVE seeing a bunch of Liberals complain about societal dysfunctions when they are the ONES breeding and sponsoring it.

    People from SF Hights shouldn't be afraid or intimidated 2 walk down the street & they shouldn't have to take matters in their own hands, I guarantee if they had 2 we more people like Kyle Rittenhouse walking the sidewalk

    It's just common sense that those who live outside the law (not necessarily hardcore criminals, but typically drug addicts, prostitutes, transients, etc) tend to gravitate to areas that they perceive to be softer on crime or more tolerant of fringe elements, bringing with them all the problems and dangers of such lifestyles.
