Very Impressive sifu Alton.!! Thanks You so much for posting this wonderful Pudao Taolu. For those who have the chance to watch this channel, I have a chance to train with Sifu Alton in Vancouver, he is simply highly skilled in the arts of Six Harmonies Mantis and Plum Flower Preying Mantis. I consider him as the best and authentic inheritor disciple of the famous Mantis Grandmaster Hu Xi Lin. He is Par Excellent. As A Wing Chun Kung Fu teacher myself in Toronto, Canada , I highly recommend him as a truly highly skilled martial artist and a good teacher (I experienced first hand his excellent teaching myself). I am a Wing Chun Stylist but I spent a lot of time in Mantis Systems. Sifu Alton has mastered both styles Six Harmonies Mantis (an extremely rare mantis Style in North America) and Plum Flower mantis Systems. I do not waste time promoting or recommending some good Sifus for the public. I have nothing to say but great respect for sifu Alton. His skills and teaching would speak for himself.

What you are thinking is how some Chinese martial arts schools, usually in the South, describe it in modern era after the historical period and without historical context. If you consult historical sources, like,《武備志》, 《四鎮三關志》,《單刀法選》, you will see they converge on the categorizations that I described.

Actually...
Horsechopper blade should be longer enough to dismantle both rider and its horse. But what i see it was a variation of Guan Dao
