One of those songs that are so far ahead of their time that they sound out of time. 20 years on, it still sounds futuristic. Brilliant song with emotion. Probably the most important band from the 90's. And that's coming from an Oasis/Noel Gallagher fan boy.
I'd go a step further and say, if Suede hadn't have taken so much time off they would probably have stayed at forefront of the industry and Oasis may never have managed to fill the hole that was left by Suede...
The ending to this is so perfect, had me dance-walking at the train station earlier today with a big grin on my face. :) Very powerful music that can do a thing like that.
that was an amazing time to be a teenager with such cultural heroes and such amazing music!!! still have this gorgeous EP lying somewhere with the rest of my CD's.
I'd wager that Brett's and Bernard's hatred of this song stemmed from their personal relationship deteriorating. I think this song belongs in their top (possibly top five) ten. No offense to Oaks but I don't really include that version as Suede. They have some nice songs but the original line up had an incredible chemistry.
Always thought they could have got away with having this playing in the final scene of Fight Club, even though it might have been a bit too upbeat compared to the Pixies.
Boo! Isnt played right to the end! There was a horn or siren noise after a ghostly echo of feed back! A real extravaganza of different endings to this song. Always surprised me that Brett disliked this song so much!
yes . this was written by Frank. a metallist from the early ninties. he did not want this released ... I saw on the website. he and brett are not getting on now !!!!!!!

I'll knock you out!
2017 and timeless.

Don't put yourself down, mate. Noel Gallagher wrote some fantastic lyrics, also a man of his time.
I've been coming back to this band.. That first album.. The b sides done on the second.. An extremely iconic band.. So futuristic like you say

This is their finest track.
Still the best Suede song and always forgotten
This song always goes straight to my soul.
Still gets me. I remember hearing this for the first time and knowing it was the song of the decade
'We will dance in the poison sky ...just you and I in the nuclear night..'. Beautiful. Thanks for the upload.x
Definitely one of my fav songs by Suede x
One of the best defo
brett's saying "these streets are changing,these girls are changing,I'm changing,we're changing,it's all changing..changing,changing,chain..chain.."
Simply beautiful.
I have loved this song for nearly 10 years
22 over here. Bought the single in 1994. Was released on Valentine's Day that year. Played it to death for days.
Since the day I`ve heard it for the first time, back in 1995, when I was 13... Still gets me emotional...
great b-sides!
If you were 22 when you posted this, you were born in either 1993 or 1994, making it highly unlikely that you purchased the single in 1994.
Spazztica Fantazztica since released 94
this song makes me incredibly sad, it reminds me of my ex girlfriend and we would cuddle and listen to suede all day.
If only Bernard would have stayed would have been one the greatest bands of all time.
Mine too! :) In 1996 this music was my escape......My only escape.
Makes one weep every time.
Great band. Killer guitarist in this band. I bootlegged Bernard Butler at The Reverb Room (Toronto) back in 1998
first heard this version in jail, after smokin' a blunt. It blew me away!
música linda e que me leva de imediato aos anos 90,bons tempos cara...
Mi canción más favorita del mundo!!
So good version :-)

Anos noventa...porque? porque não consigo te tirar da minha cabeça?
i love this version so much, can anyone tell me what the voice is saying between 4:45 and 5:53? im assuming its brett anderson himself
Bernard why did you have to go?
This is not a full version. The last piano part is cut.
Yes you are correct still have the cd single with the long version on so much better. So good.
Spot on operator, well done.
Epic
This song would make me stay with my boyfriend no matter what he did lol
Amber Jayne you're a keeper~☆
amazing
I always feel Suede was ahead of their time but sadly people hardly remember them.
♡
Their best song? I think so...
