My heart goes out to your grandmother. It is so hard and so sad to watch someone suffer with Alzheimer's. That's really amazing of you to keep her with you. This is something I'm VERY passionate about. It kills me when people have to live out the last of their years in assisted living or nursing homes. Especially when I see their immediate family members just living life, in their beautiful homes and not a care in the world. People who've lived their whole lives for their children, for their family, for their jobs, and just thrown out without a second thought or an ounce of guilt. I don't understand it. I know with some conditions (such as Alzheimer's in fact!) things do get difficult and you never know what the day may bring, so a time may come where help is absolutely needed - so I understand that sometimes professional environment is a necessity. But the things I've seen are just not explainable. Feces in residents' rooms, dried to the floor for days. Left alone in their wheelchair somewhere, unable to get themselves back to their room. Given solid food that they can't eat because no one cares to tend to their needs. So it sits there, and they don't eat. Residents being ignored because they don't remember that they just recently rang the bell a few moments ago and the aides are just annoyed. I could go on for days. 😢 This is the reason I am so vocal about having hospice or a home health nurse in the home versus in THEIR care - an unfamiliar environment with no family around where they can treat them however they want to. We had both of my grandparents at home until their last breath. My grandmother passed in her beloved recliner, and my grandfather 9 months later in his bed. It was the best thing to have them home! They were happy and so were we! It makes me so happy your grandmother gets to have that comfort of being with you ❤❤❤ you are a huge blessing!
Kayla Riggs So sweet about your grandparents. 🤍💙 Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease and some families aren’t equipped to deal with it. I never judge any families decision bc I know first hand how hard the care can be. We are lucky that we’ve been able to take care of her as we have and hope to continue to do so as long as possible. I am repulsed by some of the care homes but there are some good ones out there... if you can afford them.

I was sick so i did my shopping on line. i placed 2 orders of 15 each order. i’m jealous you got a blueberry pie. the candle i most wanted was strawberry pound cake. now i wish i would have gotten more then the 6 that i got.

I enjoyed my experience. My bath and body opened up at 6am . I waited with 10 other people so the store was very calming. I bought 7 candles this year because I didn’t need that many. They let me use both of my coupons but two separate transaction and at my location they gave us those cute bags we didn’t have a limit. A lot of people so far I’ve watched had to purchase at least 2 crates of candles.
India LaRae Awesome! So glad you had a great experience! I think the official rule was 12 candles for every bag.. but some stores were being nice thankfully and giving them out with less than 12! Thanks for sharing your experience

Aww! Hope you feel better soon. I think your act of kindness for the SA's will inspire others to do the same next year. My experience was a pleasant one again, even with the long lines. Customers were polite and friendly. One of my brothers tagged along with me it was his first candle day, so it made a awesome day than much more special. Unfortunately, I did not find any of the spring and summer or hidden gem candles I was hoping to snag. But I did snag a Black Chamomile aromatherapy candle.🕯🕯 💱

Loved your haul!! 🕯🕯and the story about the stocking for your grandmother! ❤️ I went when my store opened at 6 am, and it was busy but not crazy packed yet. They didn’t have a ton of variety unfortunately. I wanted to try a winter white woods since it seems to be pretty popular but I never saw a single one! There weren’t really many of the fall scents either. I ended up getting 2 strawberry pound cakes, a sugared blueberry donut, a cereal marshmallow bar, a mint chocolate, a vanilla bean from white barn, and then a summer boardwalk for my sister (which I randomly found all by itself) and a merry mimosa for a friend. All in all, I’m relatively satisfied! I didn’t find out until I checked out that they were honoring the 20% off coupon grace period-if I’d known, I probably would have picked up a couple more!

You’re a professional! I love your goody bag idea and I am completely borrowing it next year. My store opened at 10:00 and it was PACKED! Everybody was in a good mood, lots of SA’s working and it was fun. I only picked up 9, and some pocket bacs and for my free item, I picked up the polar bear and tree sleeve. It was a great day!

I gotta say I’m kinda jealous of your Winter White Woods, they sold out around me within days. Prob my favorite fragrance released new this winter. I hope they bring it back. I have to say I’m excited to Smell the new Winter Snowfall, hoping it smells similar to Sparkling Woods, Winter Woods or white Woods. Also so excited that Smoked Vanilla is bak!! Great job as always. Spiced Gingerbread is also my absolute favorite gingerbread scent as well.
There is one time a year when the candles are less than Candle Day. During the SAS they periodically put candles on the 75% off table. If you catch it at the right time you can get the candles for $6.12 a piece. You don't get many choices, but I still get many candles that way.
I picked up a Gingerbread village candle holder as well. I love that it is ceramic and not metal.

I absolutely love your candle hauls! My candle day experience was the worst this year. One of my small low volume stores opened at 1am and it was packed! I waited in line for 2 hours to check out. It was only 3 registers. However, this put me at an advantage for my second store that opened at 5. I was third in line and got all of the pop up collections candles! The only candle I didn’t get that was on my list was vanilla balsam (which I have 2 of) but wanted more lol.

We are on the same page with Tree Farm I find Fresh Balsam is too much but do still enoy it in a 1 wick but Tree Farm is just right !I stilll prefer Apple Garland though I think . Wonderful Haul Candle day is so much fun still .. love it !! I hope you feel bettter soon . I picked up many of the same candles ,wish Orange Chocolate Truffle came back !

I agree Cherry Mocha and OCT are totally reminiscent of each other but between the two my vote goes to OCT and I think I prefer Hot Cocoa &Cream still to Cherry Mocha

I was not gonna do candle day but I ended up buying 6 just for my kids sadly I did not get cereal bar for my baby girl but was able to get her 4 lava cake 1 coconut snowball and a red velvet cupcake so I know she will love them you got alot so Awesome

This is my first year doing candle day I definitely learned a lot I bought 21 candles most of them I have never smelled before so far I really love the hot cocoa and cream and absolutely I'm in love with Paris Cafe my store was a Madhouse long lines the whole works but most people still had their happy faces on and the sales associates we're absolutely amazing I didn't have any coupons and the app does not work in my area so the sales associate still gave me 20% off I'm baking cookies for the next year

My store opened at 1am and I got there at 12:30am, and still waited an hour to get into the store! However it only took about ten minutes to check out.

Wow, nice haul!! I went to 2 stores near me, they opened at 7:30am. There were quite a few people but it, for some reason, seemed less “crazy” than last year. I got about 24 candles, one of my favorites is The perfect Christmas. I saw no vanilla balsam ones unfortunately at either stores. Maybe we will get them later in Canada. Thanks for sharing and enjoy burning them!

Also lots of people are leaving goody bags for fedex ups amazon prime Usps workers too outside their doors :) looks like u got a great haul! I wasn’t as lucky this year they didn’t have over half the candles on my list :( I’m hoping they will re stock so I can exchange?? I was at the doors at 6:30 they opened at 7 I was first in line at the doors and about 15-16 to check out line with my candles

I was waiting for your review. What a beast you are!!! Going to Candle Day and being sick 😷 hope you get well soon. I ordered online Friday at 9:07pm (I live in Seattle). Took me about 40 minutes. Site was super slow and crashed 4 times 😤 my store opened at 6am was there at 6:15 my adrenaline was off the charts. 4 people in the store, SCORE! Had a blast with the staff. Great idea about the snacks. I left about 7 and there were about 30 people with a long line at checkout. I’ve only gone to 1 Candle Day and swore I’d never do it again, but I found a new store and am in love with it. They inspired me to come, and I’m super glad I did 🕯❤️

🕯This was my first ever candle day I attended. The one candle I wanted was winter white woods but the store I went to did not have it. 😞 If I decide to go next year I’ll go early and prepared.

One of my stores had a stack of Yuletide and I didn’t even think twice about it. Hahaha! Girl, this is a great haul, it was so fun watching this and you sound so much better too by the way. I was totally looking for Autumn Woods, but that one was non existent. A lady that bad her kid in this ginormous stroller caused me to lose Lavender Pine and Frosted Snow Pine, I had to put down what was in my hand due to where I was standing and I got swiped on. Hahahah! I had a great day driving around Atlanta and snagged 3 Renew and Refresh, and 5 London candles (with the tea and biscuits). The packaging reminds me of Christmas in Europe (especially London), which was one of my favorites spots to frequent. Love the haul SIS 💙💙 🎄💳💰

I think I'm too spoiled from the heavy fragrance of vendor wax. I've tried 3 candles I bought from candle day and want to return all 3, can barely smell them 😥 Hot buttered rum, elf village and my beloved twisted peppermint ☹️

@@SouthrenComfort well the order I placed on Friday was with Super Tarts. I ordered 3 of their bam bags (Fake n Bake, Snape, and Casper). I've only placed one other order with ST (Christmas clam pre-order), which I haven't even received yet, so I've never smelled their wax, hoping I love it! The other vendors I've recently placed orders with are RG, Destination Wax, Sassy Girl Aroma, Vintage Chic, CFTKR, and That Smell Good Shop. I've seen you on some of the FB groups I think, my husband and I both post (but only he has a FB account, David Jaquay). I've really loved your YT channel to help guide me through the amazing but overwhelming world of vendor wax!!! I've learned so much about the various companies through watching your channel (and other people who do vendor wax reviews).
