I have been rocking the Trek Emonda ALR with bontrager aeolus wheels and absolutely love it. It climbs hills like nobody’s business so you will not have any excuses to not enter the hill climb races. Go man, go!😊
Hey Benjamin, you can mix with Shimano front/rear derailleur (electronic or not) and what I think are the superior cranksets from ROTOR (Spanish Company), the Vega's are cheap and won't break the bank or break apart and if you go with the high end the 2INPOWER would look killer with your setup
depending on how light you want it to be I'd get smaller bars for fit and weight, kalloy uno stem super light and cheap/reliable, and an older sram red etap group to save weight. 60mm stem and 43cm bars is a pretty wild combo forsure.
The fourth generation Domane is compatible with up to 38mm tyres. The use of 47mm tyres on a 650b wheel will void the warranty if there are any issues at all.
Took a year? I got mine last July, same design, looking forward to your build, my build be £6-9k (all spending is my money and I don't have any discount) but as ceramic speed ospw and 2 wheelsets (88mm and maybe 50mm), so know my last road bike (6.7kg planet x rtd 90) was tubular but as how clinchers are, I'm going clincher so hide weights to balance wheels Made mine heavier by glue the cable holes closed for aero but estimated 7.3kg with pedals, computer and lights with planned build, getting groupsets this year (eagle for Trek Slash and red for Trek Emonda ALR) be built in maybe 4 years time if focus on mountain bike and velomobile first, I wanted as not carbon so use as daily and aero, I normally ride 56cm but at time only saw one 54cm available so I snapped it up as worried not get paint design again, my frame is 1550g (think that is without axles and seat clamp)
Do you have a discount code for us common folk? 😊

Always something that could be done if your looking for something.

Good to know!
Enjoy yours 👍🏽
love the frame! keep up the videos ben love your chilled attitude towards it all ;D
Thanks! Will do!
Really really Interested to see what you build. I have an ALR 5 as well that I got back in July. Slowly adding upgrades along the way.
Gorgeous bikes!

Deffo need the tan wall on the road Wheelset.
Yes I think I will
It's a cracking frameset, I have the same one but in a 58. Weight is 7.45kg and built on a budget, so you should be able to go lighter than that.
can you please share the build specs
Corr foxy got a great personality 😂😂
If it's a self build and you are going electronic shifting, i would def go for SRAM to avoid extra cabling. Much easier to build up that Shimano
Great looking frame. What’s the weight difference if it was the carbon version?
I haven’t a clue. Hold that thought 😜
Just had a look and it’s minimal. That’s got me thinking as it’s available for under a grand online. 🥴

does the ALR emonda fit 32? thank you!
Curious to know what chemicals are in the parts cleaner that cleaned / degreased the cassette and was safe to use on the disc rotor?
What do you like more for short rides? Domane or Emonda?
Emonda
Best vid yet. You;ll be a mechanic in no time?

Last year? What country?
@@benjaminlechappers I live in England, brought in 10/July/2023, I love the white era design
So Foxy has finally admitted that his bargain hunting maneuver is the sole reason Wiggle has gone bankrupt - it all makes sense
😂
Oh dear, hope them and CRC manage to survive, also I hope Prime make more hubs again
theres a new reasonably priced SRAM Red groupset coming out 👀 ... maybe Ben? Maybe
👀👀
When say reasonable priced, I'm waiting to see £1900 they price at, I love SRAM, I use Shimano only on mountain bike
Maths mate, 40 grams, not 4
Where's the recycling bin?
We have them. Bin dump for filming purposes only 😉
I have my 105 11 speed, I would sell. Just came off my Domane SL5 2020. 5000 miles I reckon on it. I upgraded to di2 but nothing wrong with the 105.
Can you drop me a message on Instagram if you have it?
That would be great 👍🏽
U lost me at the 60mm stem
Hahahaha. We won’t be that silly. 😜
Stems too short and bars are too wide…
Agreed, that front end setup is def too short & too ride
Obviously this was all just to annoy you brother 😂😂😂
@@benjaminlechappers it worked, she is pretty pretty tho 😉
Dont like Caad13?
Tan walls always look better.
Watching it back I’ll swap them out
Any cyclist should be able to build up a bike, it's not rocket science, don't be afraid to try it yourself, plenty of good videos on RUclips to help
sad, they do this design for DISC only :-(
Yes true
Get a ltwoo groupo
Ali express?
@@benjaminlechappers yes, I have the 12speed version and race in Sicily, it pretty good and cheap
@user-vg7fe4wk6s have you tried it, I have three bikes with it on, and have become the first foreigner to win a prize in the Sicily cup, using it
Well, the ALR frame is kind of girly mate, sorry!
