I have the MZ- 11 I love it !!!! The embouchure hole is bigger it really does create a warm sound and the lower register resonates extremely well. I tried playing on and intermediate flute from another company , and it was amazed me how the embouchure hole was so much smaller haha. I love it :D
My mom has that one I believe with a gold riser. It speaks well she's let me play it. But idk just want something dif and new again. Lol don't mean to be picky I just don't know what's wrong with me lately. It's so bad I thought she was gona sale my flute or trade it so I engraved my name all over it myself. Did pretty good I must say. Yes I tried it on a cheaper model first. But I did that so she couldn't sale. Someone would look dumb playing my flute seeing my name and not playing as well as I do. I don't know. Must be a phase I'm going through. Lol
I just read the rest. I've heard of aluminum. My son plays on something close to that. Can't remember the name. I'm not home at the moment or I could tell u exactly. I'd really like to find a jack moore. But haven't the slightest clue where to look.
I am currently using a miyazawa PB 202reh with MZ10 headjoint 0.40mm heavy wall tubing . And I absolutely have no regrets buying the flute, it has such a sonorous low register and ringing high register tone . This is an intermediate student model and I am thinking of getting a BR 602 or 702 if I get into a music school .
What headjoint Mr. Marcusson actually plays in his concert flute? MZ-11? From this demo I liked the MZ-10 the most (maybe not so bold and 'easy' as the MZ-11 but more lyrical and rich, open but without sacrifice the density. MZ-11 is very appealing for orchestra musicians, though.
It's from a piece by the Swedish composer Hugo Alfvén (1872-1960), called 'Herdsmaiden's Dance' (Vallflickans Dans). And this is what the original version sounds like: ruclips.net/video/uZl471prDj0/видео.html

That's what I want. A bigger opening with a deep rich sound.i would give anything to try a few head joints out.
Does anyone know what piece he plays at the very end of the video? I need to know; i want to play it so bad.
