Tim and Blessing are dismissing Battlefield way too quickly.
Having played every single one since BF3, I can tell these games have always had a strong audience.
Vince Zampella is running this one from the begging and from his work on COD and Titanfall, I believe he's the one that can turn the boat around.
The price as mentioned by Blessing is something to consider... I'd easily pay 40 dollars, like a Helldivers. Also, CoD isn't free! Gamepass Ultimate is pretty expensive now.
(I clearly want this game to be good)

Snow Bike Mike is everything I want to be as a person. A master of hype. A joy to be around. A father of two.

EA needs to bring EA Sports BIG back. They have a monopoly on the NFL license so it doesn't make sense that they're not making spin off games like NFL Street which probably would sell just as good if not better than Madden. And I just want a new SSX game I've loved that franchise since I was a kid.

Is it bad I kind of forgot EA existed - time was they'd have a big E3 conference where they'd announce like 5 new Big releases each year and have the likes of Dead Space, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Battlefield, Medal of Honour, Titanfall, Sims, Mirrors Edge, NFS, etc... now they just seem to put out one controversial new release plus a new FIFA every year.

The downturn for Battlefield began with *Battlefield V, largely due to upper management decisions and the departure of most of the experienced team. The remaining, less-experienced team struggled with a new game engine, leading to poor decisions made Battlefield 2042. This time, it seems they’re listening to the community, going back to basics, and assembling a skilled team to rebuild what made Battlefield great. For the comments competing with "free" to play. People have already speculated that is why they've brought in a 3rd studio.

If you want to make a good Battlefield game: make the maps smaller and more tactical, rather than massive and open. Make classes more important with their specific roles, weapons and equipment. Move away from the slow XP grind for improving your loadoats, move away from the mass of microtransactions, back to map packs.

As someone who has been playing battlefield games since 2005, I do not want smaller maps at all.

@@LEGIT_ELITE I've been playing Battlefield since Bad Company, and the best maps (for my money) are the tighter ones. They've definitely trended more towards these massive, open maps, and any buildings that were intended to defend are flattened a minute into the game starting.
Battlefield is at its best when the maps are like multiple Rainbow Six Siege maps, with a bit of space between each.

@@SkullSnax I like having the smaller maps but I don't want them to be the rule. I want them to lean more into the asymmetric warfare aspects like the old games (Battlefield 2). Vehicle warfare is an important aspect of Battlefield.

These big studios should probably invest a little more in competent writing/storytellers. That has been by far the biggest issue with these companies lately, they just keep pumping out soulless games with simplistic, even childlike, writing and stories.

Battle Field All Stars - do it nintendo style and it will at least sell, new battlefield that doesnt work - make no money and have the series die. i would confidently buy a remastered battle field 3 with all of its monochrome blueish maps and a lot of other people would too

This project is where creativity goes to die. Studios being forced to all work on the same generic shooter junk, not the projects they want

If you think Devs wouldn’t LOVE to work on a Battlefield game you are sorely mistaken.
