This is one of the best videos I have watched on how to make this jacket , you didn’t move to fast and you showed us each step . Thank you so much I will use this make me another bubble jacket
Wow! as a guy completely new to sewing I wanted to make a pea coat. after watching a few videos to see what I was going to be facing I must say it’s a little more difficult than I imagined but not impossible. This video helped me out a lot. The directions were clear and concise and the visuals were excellent as well. Great project!
Completely practical. Absolutely love. This will save me a ton of money in the future. My grams and aunt both got Alzheimer's before they could teach me how to use a sewing machine. Yet, ur videos help alot. So thank you for the share.
Hands down the easiest and best video on RUclips. Your instructions are very easy to follow. Thank you. I'll be trying this on Saturday. You have a new subbie ❤❤
A well done tutorial - enjoyed your pocket method and how nicely the lining was attached. So logical and easy to follow from start to finish! Thank you
As a fashion designer, this jacket was the best one I have seen, sewn very well 👌 the one thing I can say is the lining needs to be a a inch bigger, could see the jacket pulling back... oylther than that good content, instructions very clear to understand.
This tutorial is so helpful! I've come back at least 5 times just to make sure I've got it right while making my kids each a quilt coat! Thanks for the clear instructions.
Thank you for this tutorial.. filled with understandable instructions and a simple way to begin this project. The cold weather had held back a bit.. perfect time for this.
OMG, you have a great talent. Congratulations, this jacket is very cute. Thanks for all the details. Now I know how to make my own pattern. Thanks for sharing your talents with the detailed lesson.
You explains things SO WELL. This is the best demonstration I’ve seen. Even better than some seeing instructors. Thank you so much! 💕🥰 Sending love and blessing to your and your family. ❤️
I just love how your videos are done effortlessly. Much appreciation to you for sharing. I have 2 little girls and I’m so inspired to make them coats for next winter. Even just making this as a windbreaker would be great! That’ll be one of my upcoming projects. 😊☮️
Wow. That was a great tutorial. I'm trying to make a snowsuit for my 1 year old and couldn't visualize how to create the pattern and put all the pieces together. This really filled in the gaps of all the steps. Excellent visuals too. Thank you for taking the time!!!
I have to say this is the best video tutorial that I ever seen , the explanation it was perfect , I just still a bit confused about the pockets . But additional to that I love it , def I’m gonna suscribe to you 😊
This is soooooo cute. Loved the way you made it so easy to understand. But I cannot get the armhole and the sleeve curve proper. Can you guide me for this please? Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. You have explained every step so clearly and I'm sure as a beginner I can follow your video and make this jacket as well. Thank you so much.
Omg! One of the best tutorials I’ve ever watched. I’m making my first puffer this week and your video just made me a lot more confident in completing it. New subscriber here !
OMG, my 18 year old nephew and sister bought me a new sewing machine for Christmas and he’s obsessed with puffer jackets. I would love to try making him one but I’m sure I would end up making him a Gordon Gartrelle puffer instead. 😂😂😂 I’ve only been sewing since August of 2020 so I’m super new to it. Great video though!!!
You are amazing and I am over the moon that I came across your channel. Your voice is so calming and your tutorial instructions are to the point and most of all CLEAR ! I appreciate you ! As a fellow youtuber...and a viewer. New subscriber💥
I probably would have just sewed the fleece right over the batting after the first stitch and just ran it through once lol but I’m new so I probably will make many mistakes lol however; this is a very good tutorial; I’m going to be a subscriber and learn from you 🙂
first and foremost this was the most simplest one i watched today. you sort of lost me when you did the elastic, but I will go back and look at that again verse using rib knit as a finish. one question when you tuck the liner back in sleeve after the elastic, what is stop the child when they push their hand thru, that lining edge coming out?
Hello Pamela! Thanks so much for watching! Yes, go over as many times as you need and let me know if you have any questions. As far as the lining, my daughter never had any issues with it for the duration of her time wearing the jacket. 🙂
Lovely .. Do I need to use a walking foot for sewing all these layers ? Plus u didnt mention the straight stitch length and if u used a special needle for the nylon fabric ?
Hello Jazmine! I actually didn't use my walking foot at all. Although, it wouldn't have hurt to use it. I just used the standard needle that's used for the machine. I also used the default stitch length that's set on the machine. I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head though. Hope this helps. 😊
Hello Ashlee! With ribbed knit cuffs I'd measure around the wrist plus seam allowance for the length. For width I'd make it the same 3in (you can make it as wide as you like). Then I would prepare and attach the cuffs the same way (minus the elastic) and you'd have to stretch to fit (zig zag stitch) all the way around. Hope that made sense. 😊
With Wendy has a bomber jacket tutorial that could probably better explain including the waistband. Check the link out ruclips.net/video/SREN6aR1V7w/видео.html 😊
I LOVE this tutorial! Do you know the weight of the ripstop by any chance? I actually have 2 kinds of ripstop here and am unable to get to joanns so I'm hoping I can use one of these! 🤞
Absolutely AMAZING tutorial ‼️ Very easy to follow!! THANK you for this🙌🏽. If I wanted to make am adult version would I still use the same 3 inch measurements between the stitching lines?
Hello Jenell! Thank you! Actually you can make those measurements as wide as you like. I just used 3 inches because that was my preference, but you can use what measurement for the width that looks and feels right for you. Hope that helps! 😊
Absolutely love your tutorial it's very helpful and easy to follow. This will be my first project. I do have one question what size/type of needle(s) did you use for the different fabrics?
Hello Nikki! Thank you! For this project I used the standard needle that came with the machine (standard singer needle). Hope that helped. Thanks so much for watching and have fun with this project! 😊

How would you do this with ribbed knit for the waist and the cuffs
