I cannot believe that you got through this mission on a lightweight melee-only build using no repair kits and then *apologized* that it wasn't a no-hit run. This was beautiful to watch.
Melee canceling the punches to take advantage of the speed and distance of the Kikaku really makes this an incredibly maneuverable build while still being efficient in terms of EN use. It’s such a great idea to forgo a right hand weapon because those punches cost almost nothing in terms of energy compared to your actual weapons.
You could always use the pointy shoulders, those have decent melee adjust and look fantastic with this frame. Or lamm would work too. But the basho have great defenses in addition to their melee supremacy. I’ve got a similar build and I just use lots of decals to give it a consistent look. You barely notice how blocky the arms are compared to everything else.
That's one insane run bro. Tried to do a no dmg run with rusty's build. The first two waves are somewhat easy, it's the third waves where the problem begins..... The lowest ap I've lost is around 2k to 3k.
on my first playthrough i went out there with a lance and a slicer (my relar anti ac build), that did not go well, genuinly one of my most memorable moment
@@keroro407 In the game it's really considered both. in EquipParamWeapon which is the part of the regulation file that governs this stuff it is the only weapon in the game that has both the Melee and Energy weapon flags. Redshift only has the melee flag. Moonlight always gotta be extra special.
Lightweight melee is risky but proof that even the insane and dumb ideas can work better than ehat logic says should make sense lol hell the mission where you drop down on this thing has a really dumb and simple solution just drop 😂 literally let yourself just fall straight down most of it misses you if you wait between laser bursts took me throwing everything that made sense at it before i said screw it and tried the first dumb idea that came to mind now i got to do this mission melee and see if i can pull it off

Basho arms are overkill, but there really is no better option. Shame they look awful paired with Schneider parts.

Nice melee set up, my go to melee set up is slicer moonlight.
I never considered the Moonlight blade as a melee weapon, more like a mid range energy based weapon.
