he did alot with the money really amazing she should be so proud of him - I mean her dress the shoes the bridesmaids all looked amazing - he did so well - I hope she lets go a bit and enjoys what a generous fun man she has.

I think everyone’s being too harsh on the bride. I can’t imagine being with anyone who has such poor money sense. The whole wedding dress thing would have really upset me too. I absolutely sympathize with her there. Good luck to her but she’s definitely been through so much disappointment with him. If she were my friend, I’d counsel her to aim for a better life partner tbh
Is that quite fair? He does know he can't manage money and that's the reason she handles all the money. Everyone has their shortcomings at least he is aware of his. He has also acknowledged and admires her for the way she does handle their money and has brought them both up in the world.
I think he put a lot of thought into the wedding, he wasn't a groom that spent all the money on a stag night, he took it very seriously.

With 3 weeks to book a venue, did the bride really think she was going to get a weekend wedding? Some of the places I looked at were fully booked for weekend weddings in spring/summer 18 whole months in advance! Even 6 months would be pushing it.
OMG the karaoke just awful...I hate it too, Emily was right on that and the bird thing. He did good on the dress though.
yeah i don't know why anyone does karaoke when they can't sing. especially THAT song, my god. you'd better be a professional to try "i will always love you." emily was wrong on the birds, though, that owl delivering the rings was BADASS. now i wish i'd gotten married in a castle with birds on staff lol

I think unfortunately they may not be a long term couple. Both good intentions, neither one quite suited to last forever with the type of the other.

I agree. She didn't seem to like any of his choices except for her dress and jewelry, oh and her flowers. Even the food, is she a vegetarian? The word entitlement comes to mind along with ungrateful. He spent a lot, but it was on their wedding. Wasn't like the groom that spent thousands partying with his friends and buying them plane tickets. He actually blew the budget on their families and friends. Does she complain about everything?
Sorry but if marrying in a catholic church is really important to you you would have known that it is impossible on such a short notice - couple counselling sessions & confessions beforehand are obligatory

@@mizzrink4930 if you want to marry all in with mess & communion it certainly is for most, exceptions may be made for sick people, soldiers or if ditching communion etc but not for a reality show …
Also if it’s your life long dream to marry in that one church educate yourself about their requirements...
My husband was in the service when we got married. The date was sent by the priest and the churches book. This show reminds me how I had to do all planing alone and classes by myself. Wish he could have gone with me…..but 53 years later I guess we had what mattered more….love for each other.

The groom made a huge effort to give his bride a beautiful wedding and truly seems to love her. The bride bashed him at every opportunity throughout the 3 weeks. What did he think when he watched the show? Very sad.
She seemed insecure about the relationship. Like that if she relaxed, everything would go wrong.

Yes, he should have watched the budget, but he did manage to pull it off in the end. The day it self was fantastic with the exception of the karaoke.
Something tells me that for horrible grooms like this, he's helped, coached and directed behind the scenes by the show personnel.
@@margochanning6868 perhaps. but I've seen plenty of episodes where the groom makes terrible decisions and those decisions stand, so I would doubt it was the production staff. More likely it was the groom's mother or some behind the scenes wedding planner.

It was a beautiful ceremony. The bride looked great. The poor groom, she complained about everything. Hes gonna have a lovely marriage. That bloody bird, the bloody chocolate fountain. I hate karoke. Wait till she finds out he paid for friends and families rooms. Doesn't seem like a happy start. Wishing them lots of happiness. Lovely wedding

Is it common for the bride and groom to pay for their "bachelor" (stag) and "bachelorette" (hen-do) parties? Where I live, the best man/groomsmen and the maid of honor and/or the bridesmaids throw the parties for the bride and groom.
It must be a UK thing. Where I live we do the same! Add to that, as bridesmaids, we also buy our own dresses!!!
I'm in the US and threw my own party. They did buy a few of my drinks and such but I wanted to go to a club and just kinda did what we wanted lol

Yes, and when I was younger, I was a bridesmaid, and I had to pay for my dress. Here in the states, we pay for the dresses we wear at the wedding.
Where I come from friends throw a party or prepare something for bride and groom but thats not always the rule! And luckily we dont have bridesmaids! There is the bestman or best woman or both who pay for some expenses like the veil(groom pays for the dress) and the hairstylist, the church and flowers etc..

When the owner of the castle mentioned his Owl delivering the rings to the couple, it reminded me of a very funny episode of a magnet-fishing channel who was hired to try to recover the rings accidentally DROPPED by a trained Hawk into a moat of a 🏰 castle...they even used Scuba, & never recovered them!😬LOL! The Brides Mom hates 🦉!!😁!
The fact he literally said how much she has done for him financially and the one most important thing was her dress and he couldn't be bothered to even give her a mail and spent more money on the bridesmaids than her is so mean and crazy!!!! What's wrong with him?!?!?!?!

I think what marriage means has changed for a lot of people. A lot of couples these days separate marriage and commitment, unlike many from previous generations. -Just an opinion.

I know in my area you would have a slim go no chance of getting a venue or church with only a 3 week notice. I’m quite surprised how many venues are actually available on this show.

Here’s a good advice, never, EVER marry a man with a huge debt he racked up because he can’t contain himself with money. Let him work off his debt beforehand. This is just another selfish groom.

Many of the grooms have given the brides a BETTER experience than what they wanted, and this episode is a good example of that. The marriage takes place whether the wedding is perfect or not, and that’s what really matters.

She was honestly under a lot of stress, planning a wedding is not easy, and it's definitely not easy for the person not in control who normally is in control. I think he did very well, and she finally relaxed when she got to see it all. They both looked stunning, the little boy is adorable, sisters and parents are lovely

The bride, wanting to try on the dress, should not have to do anything with if she trusts him or not, it should be about. Is the dress going to fit her or not? Because it could be the most perfect beautiful dress but if it’s too big or too small in certain areas it’s not gonna look very well. So In my opinion I think he chose wisely in the end for letting her put on the dress. But again, Paul Shouldn’t have emphasized His Brides trust in him ,But the dress could have I had a sizing issue like, I said before Also about the church thing I believe that God is everywhere so people who say they want to get married in a church, so God can be there to witness it I think it’s ridiculous. Because as a godly woman myself, I believe God is everywhere, so no matter where you get married he’s gonna be with you.

The 3-week problem is due to the need to call the banns for each consecutive week [announcing the proposed wedding]. In olden times [ think a lack of newspapers and mass illiteracy] this was done so if there was any impediment to the wedding the one objecting could come forward in case they weren't invited to the ceremony.
The birds would have been my favorite part of the wedding as a bride or a guest.... but if she is afraid of big birds then it is what it is. And I can't fault her for being less than impressed with the roasting whole pig either. We all know meat comes from animals but that doesn't mean you want your dinner literally staring back at you.
She was such a good sport. He did great by the dress. The reception was terrible ...it definitely wasn't what she wanted.
