They're a really fun idea, but the implementation makes them really bad in anything except boss killing and out of those only the burst lantern carries weight. The resonance lantern should actually help with the dodge/absorb/pull damage, like it says on the tin and then it could be a really interesting weapon. Currently, juggling multiple different disappearing stats is more trouble than it's worth. Also, the Awakening Grasps and other damage boosts should work on the special attacks/effects to make them useful. Currently they are too rare for normal usage, but useless when it counts. Otherwise, a resonance build is quite fun. If only there were more resonance weapons aside from lanterns and lantern buffing auxiliary items. The finger blade is a real workhorse, though.
To be quite honest my favourite weapon is the Yr Glaive but I’ve essentially used the Mail Axe for all the boss fights except for the grieving rock giant
the chisel nails are legit an S tier weapon in this game. no ridiculous slow attack on right click, or motion you can't control, just flat doubling of damage. Me at 36 DEX with +6 chisel nails, 39 damage *2 is 78 damage per hit, which is insane stacked with other buffs. Got Final Performance down to half before they even picked up their glaive.
loving the vids, cant wait to get the game soon. Also the weapon movesets look cool. Also wondering if its possible for u to do a video showcasing the prey traits that you can get in the game. I feel like the absorb and prey trait mechanic is a unique idea.
Although I had most of these weapons in my 30 hour completion (98%) of Grime Colors of Rot, I only used the default weapon for non-boss and Unformed Slab for bosses. The RPG system discouraged experimentation and the weapons were really only a model swap with a few exceptions. This was not as good for weapon+slice variety like with 3xCastlevania games on Nintendo DS.
Basicly you need to spent hunt point to obtain the first one. So its like cooler nail scythe. Looks nicer and has slightly more dmg. Dunno why they decided to clone that one.

@@SSP2056 +6 you mean?
@@alexgalays910 oh yeah, I had it at +3 when I was writing this comment and I overreacted.
I can't get enough of the lantern weapons.
Resonance build is literally the most fun I've had in this game.

would be nice if you do a all armor locations
Any weapon suggestions? I used Raw Blade for the charged special for my first playthrough, but want to switch it up for NG+
Why are there two Nail Scythes separated only by color, and damage output?
P.S.- How I wish I could get this for Nintendo Switch.
That's a good question. That's the only weapon clone in the game.

Wish granted. They announced that it will be available for the switch, although I'm not sure when.
@@cloudkracker9664 Jebaited. It just has come out for all platforms except Switch... 🥴
@@mikulasmelicher8752 its worth knowing you can get the same hunt point back at the dessert near another side boss
