Real racing vehicles with Proper Loud Engines sounding very Heavenly to my ears. To walk around one of the most Famous Racing Venues in the World, You must have Felt like Kings Lee and Geoff. Lots of Happy and really Excited people all together at this Fabulous Megga Event. I really liked seeing your Foot Long Bagguette Geoff. It looked several times better than a Subway Bagguette. If you want the Le Mans experience on a budget just find a footbridge to stand on across the M6.

My one and only Le Mans was 1966. Proper Le Mans. Seven litre Ford GTs. Now that really was a sound! Seeing as how I never had much money in those days I didn't buy any extras, but I just wandered into the grandstand opposite the pits without being challenged and spent most of the night there. Force 8 gale on the ferry back and the only seat I could find was a bar stool on which I slept for about three hours. Great time.

It's not that boring when you actually go there. There is an atmosphere in the campsites and around the track. Makes F1 a bit dull as an overall experience.

Yeah. Climate change now. Used to be global warming but they changed the name when the mocking laughter got too embarrassing.
Maybe if we all paid more tax then the politicians could control the weather.
I once stayed in a tent on a campsite on the outskirts of Paris for two days in June and it rained incessantly. I swore I would never go camping again, and in 45 years I haven't.
It does look good and different to attend, but nothing is fun in the heavy and cold rain!
The 'classic ' Le Mans racing is more fun, and it will go on for ever. The modern racers look like Scalectrix. The last time I went to the modern race was in 1970, a great year. But very wet.
It's an excellent series from the chaps we enjoyed every minute, but somehow, I don't think we will see you camping anytime soon
You and Geoff would make brilliant Top Gear presenter's.

I've been watching the entire race on TV for many years and I've never seen weather conditions like this one. I see Geoff was a bit despondent about the safety car usage but if they hadn't done that, with conditions like that at night there would have just been more holes in the barriers that they would have had to neutralize the race for anyway, so I used that opportunity to catch a nap. Usually though, in previous years with a couple of hours to go you pretty much knew who's going to win it but this year even with half an hour to go it might have gone to one of 4 different teams. I hope you two go again next year.
Exactly it was dark to much spay got a couple of hours sleep. The race was so close and that's all we want. Let's not forget about the Aston Martin flipping over for more safety car.that was no ones fault
Unfortunately the actual race over 24 hours will cease because EV racing cars will be out of charge within a few hours
Sure but think how much quieter it will be, with the occasional whoosh as cars go by on their way to the charging pit. :)

You need to complete the 5 day experience including pit lane walk about on the Friday.
I went for years camping at Terte Rouge, and made many friends over the years.
I could write a very funny book about the antics that went on.
The camaderie is brilliant. One year, I lost the keys to the minibus, I managed to borrow enough tools from fellow campers to dismantle the ignition lock to get home.
I'm far too old now but still watch it every year on Eurosport. Looks like you both had a great time.

The wee wall wasn't too far away but where is the poo bucket? While on the subject, what are the toilets like there with a score of 1 being like Santa Pod in the 1970s and 10 being the Ritz hotel, assuming the Ritz's toilet are good.
Last year, it only rained about 10 min. the whole of the race! And, it was never cold. I see, they still need more port-o-pottys there!! 🚽

Watched a few hours on both days on Eurosport including when I switched on Sunday morning as the cars were going round behind the safety cars and I wondered how you and Geoff were getting on with all the rain. Weather was mostly cloudy here in Romania and we had an hour or so of thunderstorm Saturday evening. Temperature stayed in the mid twenties though and didn't go below 10C at night. At least you didn't have a river running through your tent!
BTW, apparently there were three safety cars on track because they split the cars up into smaller groups.

I am not an aircraft fanatic, but I love going to airshows. It's the raw power & thunder of noise that I find so exhilirating & exciting. I would not attend a glider air show.
Along similar lines I am not a feminist, but I do enjoy frequenting lap dancing in my quest to support the single working mothers of this fine land 🇬🇧 😅😮

Lee, if Geoff is serious about your snoring, you need to get a sleep study done. I had a stroke in 2011 which was partially related to my sleep issues. Don't mess around my friend, go to a pulmonologist, and have it checked out.
And liver, the black line in your finger is related to liver damage, need to give up the grog
The reason you are snoring lee is the muscle in the throat collapse and block the oxygen going through your brain so that mean you stop breathing for about 2 minutes that why you snoring if you don't wake up you can die I am not joking his is a very serious sleep issue it call sleep apnea I have been using sleep cpap machine for 40 year and it save my life I got a serious breathing and lung problem that why I got to use the cpap machine if I stop using it I would be dead now so it would be a good idea to see a doctor and ask for a sleep study test just to made sure you don,t have sleep apnoea or not but lee I got the feeling you might have a sleep apnea but I hope I am wrong but I doubt it take care lee from Australia 🇦🇺

The "race" needs spiced-up. Traffic lights, roundabouts, the odd lorry in the middle of the road, traffic cones etc.

I took the children camping years ago back in the naughties. And it rained every day (this was in August) and it was a crawl in ⛺️ not a walk in
so the next year, I booked a B&B for the weekend
and it was 28° full sunshine / no rain. Lol, that's what they call sod's law.😂 🏴 .
Next year it is being held in Wales. In the hopes it'll be dryer.
And run faster 😂

The one thing we cant control is the weather, if its your first time visit to le mans it totally takes the edge off it all and spoils everything. This was my 10th Le Mans and the other 9 have blown me away. Theres something about the place that just draws you back. Please dont let it put you and geoff off going back. Hopefully youll be back next year and ill come say hi and ill buy youboth a pint whilst attemping not to get heat stroke/ skin cancer!!!!
Oh and its tradional when in France to leave a DNA sample on a wall.
