I knew this would surface one day. Thank you. I don't know how I ended up with this cassette when I was 14 but I first listened to it one night after I'd gone to bed. School holidays and we were staying by the ocean. Just laying in my bunk listening to this as the waves crashed on the beach. What a place to be introduced to Treasure Island by Jon Pertwee...

I used to listen to this cassette in bed & had to keep the volume down so I wasn't discovered! The motor of the cassette player was so loud though, it was a bit tricky! 😊

It's funny (actually it can't be a co-incidence) how Jon Pertwee's voice and intonation, and the various characters he did can stick in the mind for such a long time. Thanks for the memories!

Ridiculous.
I had read an excerpt of the book in grade 6, then I got the complete story book. But good thing about audio version is that it increases concentration level, one can listen story while being in bed.
