Funnily enough, I actually liked zetsu at the start of the series. When i started seeing the akatsuki members in the rainbow style silhouette's and i saw him he intrigued me the most cause he was the most weird-looking out of the lot of them. So i was curious to see what he was cable of. Plot-wise though he disappointed me by the end of the series.

Zetsu plot twist was well done imo the problem that hurt it was kayuga being underwhelming as antagonist if kishi wrote her better and their battle then the twist would have been much better
Mr. Blue Is Too Smooth agree zestu planned 1000 years just for kaguya’s revival then when she got revived minutes later she got defeated by a fucking pervert jutsu and she got sealed again I guess that’s how powerful kaguya is that kishi can’t even think of what kind of jutsu to distract or defeat her besides sealing her and the fact that kaguya wasn’t using her full powers proves she could still be OP than naruto and sasuke oh god black zestu is a goddam loyal mama boy but too sad he just celebrated victory few minutes then he tasted defeat after that
Well the madara fan base isn't as toxic as itachi we can admit who he can't or can beat madara was beatable and kayuga being introduced wasn't to kill off madara cause she was much more powerful than he was so beating her eventually they would have beaten him

This is also why he loves to eat dead people, much like how plants take in nutrients from decomposition, but hates jams and cognac, as he probably see's eating other plants/fruits as a form of cannibalism.

I think people forget that zetsu's role in shippuden was foreshadowed at the end of naruto at the valley of the end where zetsu pops up randomly after the battle ends and he says"now this is interesting" and zetsu says this after kakashi mentions madara & hashirama's battle took place there and that the cycle"will not end & continue via naruto & sasuke" basically the karmic cycle of indra & ashura

am I sick that I felt more for kisame in his backstory than itachis?...I found it tragic that he had to betray his people so he could keep his secrets like his master wanted and then had to betray his master for the dream of his leader...he was too loyal...he even killed his possible lady friend... and I liked kisames design power and character and speaking style more than itachis...I loved how he was so well well spoken and how he was a swordman of the mist and a water user and a tailess beast with so much chakra... his bond with tobi /tobito was cool and his fights with gai and bee are really rad...I find it ironic he lost to a gai who uses taijutsu being one of the most heavy nijutsu users in the series with more chakra than most...

Yes, it was just ancient words. Hagoromo implied it when he talked to Naruto in his consciousness. Having "divine eyes" like sharingan or byakugan might gain some access to that ancient language of Hagoromo's era.

I'd like to say why i think you are wrong with your interpretation of zetzu not being very well planned on it's first appearance. in naruto, every single even remotely meaningful character were introduced with every major storylines that created the person we see. with one exception: Zetzu. We didn't get ANYTHING about zetzu until the beginning of the kaguya-arc. taking this into account while also remembering how perfectly zetzu's real person and story fitted into the whole series all the way from the beginning i must assume that kishimoto had zetzu secrectly planned all the time. he didn't give a personality or background to zetzu because he wanted to keep the surprise element, and wanted to see if anyone would notice how zetzu, alone of all the characters, remained a complete mystery. personally i think black zetzu was the single most brilliant plot twist ever created by man. no other character on any series ever has turned everything upside down so completely while still fitting perfectly on to everything that had already happened. the ultimate story that was given with zetzu was so incredibly detailed, so well thought, and simply so inspirational that when my mind was already blown by everything that had happened to that point, zetzu managed to teach me of how little i ever knew what mind being blown could mean.

My personal problem with number 10 is how the tablet actually ended up within the Uchiha Clan. I doubt Indra cared about his father's warnings for future generations after severing their relationship, and I doubt he would accept anything from his father. It would've made more sense to me if Hagoromo created it for the Senju Clan whom he entrusted with the future of ninshu and the world on his death bed so the threat of his mother would never be forgotten. Then I could imagine Zetsu stealing it from the Senju and planting it in the Uchiha Clan for them to find after altering the text.
Zetsu (white) is a product of the Chackra Tree, which means that Zetsu is a plant and that would explain why they could use any jutsu. My theory as to why they appeared weak in the 4th Great War is that they need to directly absorb the person's chackra by eating them before using the justsus (just like the Chackra Tree), though they could use basic jutsus like clone jutsu or the transformation jutsu. But that's just my theory.
The plot hole I find in Kaguya's intention in creating a white zetsu army is how weak white zetsu is. I mean standard chunin can defeat a white zetsu and compared to an Otsutsuki clan member they would be like flies. Even with the insane numbers I don't see how zetsu could have made much of an impact in defending Kaguya from her kin with how weak individual Zetsu are.
Another quick plot hole is that when Madara was revived he was young like when he fought Hashirama but when anyone else was revived like the third hokage he was old and looked the exact same as he did when he had died. So when Madara was revived by obito or when Kabuto used Edo Tensei on him why was he young ike when he fought Hashirama and not old like when he was with Obito
Kabuto told madara that he altered his body and made him better than his glory days. That’s why he was younger when he was revived. It’s not a plot hole
you said that kekkei genkai is hereditary\genetic passed trough bloodline, so that means white zetsu can copy it, cause if he turns exactly like the person is it means he copies their dna also
you don’t need to fight when you can manipulate a whole world with your mind from indra to the stone to madara and war to reviving kaguya he had it all planned out he’s a mastermind

The plot hole I find in Kaguya's intention in creating a white zetsu army is how weak white zetsu is. I mean standard chunin can defeat a white zetsu and compared to an Otsutsuki clan member they would be like flies. Even with the insane numbers I don't see how zetsu could have made much of an impact in defending Kaguya from her kin with how weak individual Zetsu are.
well 1 zetsu she created oneshotted tentails madara. we never saw kaguyas army completed because she got sealed by her sons

Another quick plot hole is that when Madara was revived he was young like when he fought Hashirama but when anyone else was revived like the third hokage he was old and looked the exact same as he did when he had died. So when Madara was revived by obito or when Kabuto used Edo Tensei on him why was he young ike when he fought Hashirama and not old like when he was with Obito
Kabuto told madara that he altered his body and made him better than his glory days. That’s why he was younger when he was revived. It’s not a plot hole
