Cheers MrSoul, Neal right?! Hey what's your Instagram channel again? I'm sure I follow you but I'm going to start posting on IG (perhaps!) and will see what you've been up to.
Nice ! BTW I'm so glad you mentioned the "drop 1st" tuning on ya Ya's Love in vain solo, because I always played it that way, despite I see a lot of videos in Open G. Thx :)
You are a life saver my friend. For years I’ve wanted to know how to play this song. I believe I commented a while back asking if you could upload a lesson on this track, your a man of your word i see :) great video man thanks ever so much!
@@0w3n27 Appreciate that 🙏 I just missed out quite a bit of what I wanted to comment on. Like the use of the pick vs fingers in Mick's playing, and setting up the sound. Wanted to finish before it got dark - then realised I have lights in the room 😂
Thanks for the nice comment - regarding your slides just sitting there…did you give yourself some time to get used to it? Everyone sounds bad at the start! And did you set up your guitar to make it a bit easier to slide? 🤔
@@licksnkicks1166right- basically you need a bit of extra tension on the strings - so heavier strings, 11s at least, and perhaps higher action so further distance from the strings to the neck. Strings that are slightly heavier will raise the action so that might be all you need to do for a start!
@@JeremyJames_studioI am not capable of 11’s broken fingers and arthritis. 10’s is the highest that I would be comfortable with. This is a whole other kettle of fish. There’s so much to learn. My life is too short! It’s 8 am and I am trying to squeeze in an hour if practice before I have to start my day.
The TAB for this slide solo is now available as a free download on my website, Enjoy! www.jeremys.studio/
Yeahhh heard the diesel drumming...all down the line...thanks for bringing back those sweet echoes of Exile on Main St my fave album of the band !
Mine too Anton! Love that record 💿
I like how you noticed how Mick Taylor allows his vibrato to build , and that really makes your playing sound like him. I never noticed that before.
Yes it's quite particular isn't it. Slow build, wide, relatively slow. It's one of the features of his playing for sure. 👍
Discussed this idea a little in the most recent (Sway solo) video - cheers.
Saved for later. Like ten years from now when I can work a slide! 😂
You're already pro level, no doubt about it! 👌
@@JeremyJames_studio 😂😂😂
Ooooh….just seen this! Great stuff.Exile is my favourite record of all time. Thanks for the lesson.

@@JeremyJames_studio yes mate! It’s neal8949
Thanks for posting. Great job with this fantastic solo, Mick Taylor at his best!
Cheers Jimmy - agreed!
Class Jeremy, great tone. Loved the tutorial and all the little nuances.
Cheers mate 🙏
Great teaching technique Jeremy.
Thank you.

Some people even want to play it in standard which is pretty much impossible given the way the second solo starts! 🙏
I can’t wait to tackle this. Love your channel and lessons
Cheers Pete - how you're well mate 🙏
@@JeremyJames_studio doing well my friend
I love the beat you played soooo good nice job🥰🥰
Thanks Hanna, first (and best) comment! 👍

Yes sir! Never one to let a great suggestion go by! Hope this video makes sense, listening I can't say it's my best explanation 😆
@@JeremyJames_studio not at all, I found it quite clear what you were trying to explain, great work dude!

Thank you Mukyblues, busker supreme!
My god your brilliant. Unfortunately slide is not for me. I bought a really nice set and they just sit there.
