This show means so much to me- these books, this music was my childhood- and the themes of losing innocence, growing up and apart hit so much harder as an adult. I've cried through all episodes of season two and honestly don't know how I'm gonna cope when it is over.

That's what I'm feeling. Like before I watched season one of this show, not ship or couple made me feel a flutter in my heart in I would say years, until Belly and Jeremiah. They reignited some impulse in me that made me actually attached to a couple. As usual though I end up loving the couple the show doesn't want me to root for in the end.

My goodness- Jeremiah is such a trooper. In the books, he takes every emotional hit after hit with what his dad's impossible expectations and Conrad's self-righteousness throw at him. And Jere's always smiling and sweet regardless, and making Belly feel special and teaching her to be independent with driving stick-shift. He's happy when Belly's happy (even if it has nothing to do with him). He's not the one pulling at her heart in every direction, making her feel small with his unpredictable moods. :( I understand why the series had to make Conrad look more like the "good guy" who was there for Belly and understood her wants/needs the most... but let it be known that in the books... it was definitely Jeremiah.
SPOILER- (Yes, I'm well aware that Jere cheats on Belly in book3, but turning someone who cared about Belly so much the first 2 books into an inconsiderate, immature fratboy felt way OOC. It felt like a ploy to, again, make Conrad look more like the "good guy" even tho Conrad sort of stayed the same: emotionally distant, inconsiderate of Belly's feelings, possessive of her, and jealous of anyone she dated.)

The songs choices. They never fail to make us excited about the show. We can tell by now that we will all be on a roller coaster of emotions during all this season.
Always gonna be team Conrad, but i'm just just so happy Jeremiah gets his season and he did it so good. They are so cute that it hurts. But I don't change mind they are still giving me a brother/sister/best friends vibe, not a couple for a long term.
But i guess before getting to your long-lasting love (*hopefully Conrad), you meet those guys who teach you how to love well, for you to prepare, maybe not brothers but yeah.

I think belly is. Originally I thought Jeremiah was just being jealous and petty, but she did use him to distract herself while waiting for Conrad. Then when they told the episode from his point of view, i understood his feelings more. He also gave his brother his blessing even though he had feelings for belly, and made sure belly talked to Conrad before "choosing" Jeremiah a second time. I don't think he's toxic. I think she is.

I think the reason this show is so popular is because it really relates to us teenagers and our lives. Everyone can relate to this film, and when you can relate, that's what gets people to watch. And it's also our fantasy to fall in love, especially with our dream boy!

The way Jenny Han portrayed these characters is absolutely incredible. My heart is going to shatter and be pieced back together a lot during this next season because my heart cannot choose if I’m team Conrad or team Jeremiah, to those who are just like me I think this second season will determine who’s team we’re on 🙏🏽 I wish both boys could win over Belly but Belly in a way, doesn’t deserve them in such a way. I feel like this really captures a lot of what teenage girls are going through and it definitely brings out the hopeless romantic in a lot of us, I just hope that this season will end with a good ending and things work for the better. and ofc, although she’s a character (a beautiful one portrayed both in the book and show) rip our beloved susannah and for being a good mother to the boys 😢🤍

It brings back my highschool memories when I read the book for the first time, I shipped Conrad with Belly, how Belly never gave up on Conrad, no matter how many times Connie tried to break Bellys heart, she kept on loving him.. It made me realize that's the love I want... And to see this series actually sticking to that story makes me so happy... Now after seeing the trailer for season 2 made me so happy and so emotional because that hopeless romantic girl is still inside me even if I grew up to be a woman... And I couldn't think how any song that will match to it other than Back to December... TSITP2 and Speak Now TV is coming out on July and I can't wait...
