I haven’t ran my Revo in a couple years because I thought it was toast when it got run over by a certain someone when I left it in the middle of the garage. I just got it out a couple weeks ago to access the damage. Wasn’t as bad as I thought, just a motor mount and a wheel got crunched. And seems how it hasn’t been ran in a few years I decided to rebuild the carb after I fixed it and I haven’t been able to get it running right if at all. I live in Michigan so the cold weather has thrown me off with carb settings so I’ve been been looking a researching engines and the LRP has been getting my attention with the Horse power it can put out. I’m still on the fence deciding which engine to get either an OS or the LRP. Seems how its winter here I don’t really wanna fuss with breaking in a new engine so I said heck with it for now and bought the Hoss. They’ve came a long ways with the electric motors wow! This little buggy is a screamer. How much you asking for your Losi?

Stock LRP with the stock carb in that video, but as time went by I noticed it needs the Nova carb mod. The LRP carb isnt consistant. The nova mod is a must in my opinion, Chris

It's so frustrating watching this video because you obviously know how to tune but that LRP carb is such a piece of dog crap! It doesn't tune well, at all😡 That turd cost me frustration like heck because I hate to compromise tune but I had no choice until I swapped my 32's to Novarossi carbs. The difference is literally night and day. I'm so glad "Nova" is back and looking forward to them remaking the 28-8. Peace brother ✌️
I'm trying to tune my engine but if I leave it idle for 5 seconds and punch the throttle I get a big puff of smoke if I let off and do it again straight after it will shot off any ideas at all
Yeah sounds like the idle gap is too wide. Also check your glow plug. May be starting to foul out. Look up the manufacturer specific idle gap for your engine and start there.
This is a beautiful truck, I was searching up this LRP .32 and your video popped up. I'm new to the game, got a REVO 3.3 was looking to upgrade the motor and your car I am definitely interested in. @@CrucialRC I got the LRP mounted and got it running. I let it idle for almost a tank and it was running around 170*F and I put a heat gun on it to get the temp up a little more. I either gotta push the tranny and motor forward more to get a backplate or pull start on. There’s another option if I can find them if they still make them, someone made special top suspension arms for the rear just for this reason. I bought the Kraton 8S but I can already tell I need more power and wanna get that mamba XLX2 esc and the 1100kv motor combo.
@@CrucialRC This is hard to explain but I went deaf all of a sudden and nitro became hard to tune 🥲 It’s like I have to learn engines all over again by feel and pressure waves is all I hear so ya it’s tough. I have a Revo 3.3 with the Losi 3.4 carb. The stock carb settings is 2.3/4 both needles from closed Funny thing is the truck won’t run unless it’s 2 .5 on the high and 5.5 turns out on the low needle 🤷♂️ I don’t know but it sure runs good lots of Power
Wow sorry to hear about that. It's great your still tuning by wave pulses tho and it sounds like you got it down packed. Weather and elevation makes a big difference in carb base settings. Especially in nitro. Thanks for commenting brother.

Yeah dang winter ripping makes the motor need to be richened up on the low end some I’m finding And yes about the sound it’s sure hard to tune by sound now I can’t but I will still get it by feel and also by suing the temp gun and app to compare temps to ensure I’m on the right track Thanks for replying Sir 👍😎
What size clutch bell you got on there? The .32 will have way more torque than the og engine and the stock gearing (13T?) would be way too short... is it maxed out with a 18T? 😂😎👍

The badlands are a PITA to get set and glued on the rim because of the design of the tire lip. You just have to make sure you take you time and set the tire and foam before you start gluing. Honestly, as big as the supplied foam is, I'm not sure how it cannot be puffy. You just have to take your time bro. Thanks for commenting!!!

What ended up being your "turn count" on the LSN and HSN carb screws? I'm just afraid to lean mine out too far

It is a nice engine. It needs the Novarossi carb to be 💯 tho. Looks like center to center spacing is about 20mm front to back and 38mm side to side.

At 15:06? Lean condition RC Send and Blast. The xtec carb is not a good carb. Please put the nova carb mod on it if you run the LRP.

If it's running real rich when u first start it, just pinch the fuel line for a couple seconds to clean it out.
