For people who didn't watch the whole video - I love the idea of limited time/rare cars & items. HOWEVER, this is clearly a push for shark card sales. They need to make it much more clear in the purchase screen that it is limited time & allow broke players to actually have a chance at getting these items. I realize this video is about rockstar's fomo craze and I agree it's incredibly stupid. (However) since I noticed you in the LSC it brings up a very interesting question; where in the absolute heck is HSW for PC? If rockstar did want to make money, and not just make sony and microsoft tons of cash by creating induced demand for consoles, they could actually make money from pc players who are simply too lazy to earn in-game money for the hsw upgrades. Granted theres tons of illigal money on pc, however ps4 /xbox..whatever that gen is can barely handle GTAO as it is, and likely services for those consoles might get dropped due to this. Or not, who knows! I just know I'm not spending hundreds on a console plus the time it would take to relevel a character all to have a slightly faster car and I know I'm not the only one, lol.

literally what was happening was modders setting people to level 7999, and nobody got banned. We're all just level 7999/8000 now... wah wah some RUclipsr had it happen to him so he had all his fans kick up a storm. When it's been happening for a long long time and the rumor of it being a RCE came from some troll on Reddit
I have a rule of thumb that works for me very well: Only buy cars when they are on sale. And I already have almost all of my parking garage spots filled. So I don‘t buy these cars which are getting removed a week or two after release. And I‘m pretty sure Rockstar will bring them back for a week or two, so they can earn money with them again, because collectors are pushing the prices up. Or R* will bring them on the podium or as a price ride without them being a available at any store.

I have always done this. Before this i had less than 5 parking slots free and only purchased one vehicle that wasn’t on sale and had a price tag over a million. It’s a habit that I have had since the beginning and it allowed me to reinvest all my profits in businesses rather than luxuries. That being said at this point I’m pretty flush in the game so it’s really no skin off my back when I fall for these fomo tactics. I’m frugal as hell but I’m also not going wait when I don’t have to. I’m sure it will come back in the end and on sale too but I have no regrets every time I drive the 300r.
@@laxdemon13 Having fin is the best thing you can do. That‘s why I had to buy the 50 cars garage even while it‘s not on sale, because I had to channel my inner Monk. So I use the 50 cars garage to have enough space to sort my cars with the same theme or color or brand, depending on my priorities at that time. 😉
Got a strong feeling limited time content will come back more easily available for gta+ members for everyone else could be months or a year unless they decide to make them permanently available. As you said about month long events that exactly how I feel it should be. Not just GTA but lots of games have some events that only last a week then it could be a while before they return but in my case I work away from home for 20 days only come home for 10 then leave again so chances are I could miss content again. A month would certainly be enough. I mean it's not the end of the world still go on with life but folks like me who can't play any given week should at least get a fair chance to experience rare content.
They'll be sticking these missing contents back into the new car showrooms from time to time, I think. The showrooms are really a kind of pointless addition otherwise. Previously unavailable vehicles, like the Dubsta and Speedo, have already been made available from there. They also put some other special features on those vehicles, liveries, coloured stock rims etc. The cars will be back. It is, indeed, a really shady way to do things, though.
@@HotboxedCoffin isn’t GTA 6 going to be story mode? I don’t see how this would apply to that since most cars and such will be locked behind leveling up and completing missions. Unless you think they’ll do an overhaul of online (I would love if they updated it with new graphics)
@lambo9172 Kind of seems pretty obvious to me. What is the point of two new car showrooms otherwise? Also, people need to drop this whole "Doing it to sell more Shark Cards" argument. It gets thrown about for every single little thing that requires a little work to achieve, or more accurately, it gets thrown around as a catchphrase people have learned now. Just read any comment thread, it's pathetic. Shark Cards exist and people can and will buy them, or not. It's the way most modern games work and to be completely real, you don't find a single advert for them in GTA-O, not even a shadily disguised one. You need to actually leave the game envirionment to even find out how and where to purchase them. Rockstar Games are one of the leaders in the industry because of the strength of their excruciatingly detailed and captivating products and this is shown explicitly, a full decade after GTA 5 released. Fraught with bugs and glitches that we all love and/or hate them for, these guys are no slouch and they don't rely on me buying a little £11 Shark Card to be the leaders and never will, it's just an extra option that's made available, which they really don't advertise shamelessly to us at all.
* And it's really so easy to make legitimate in-game money these days. Lots of it. The only thing you really need to buy is the game itself, which includes over 40 completely FREE dlc updates. They're really kind of the opposite of just a bunch of Shark Card card sharks. I'm not a 'fanboy'. Just being real.
i feel they need something next to the limited items like what fallout 76s atomic shop has, next to the price or image, a red box saying say ''5 days left''
In game money is not an issue for me, I'm buying the new cars when they release anyway, but I do feel for new players or player without a lot of money. They are being forced to spend what little they have or buy shark cards to get them.
What's funny is that them being transparent about how long the vehicles will be available actually works in their favor. They are quite a few people out there that would have bought it if they known it was going away, but they just... didn't

Honestly it might be fine to put an item or something out for a limited time, but they should 100% treat it like an item shop thing where it actually tell you when the item is leaving.

A better way to do this would be to have the cars off by like 20% when they release then after a week it goes up to full price. Rockstar can still use fomo while the players still get access to the car.
Reddead had clothing items that would cycle in and out with weekly updates. I enjoyed having exclusive clothing not everyone had and would ensure I was checking every weeks updated wardrobe it was the only thing to buy in rdo
Firstly, I really do appreciate your videos. I haven't bought any cars for such a long time now because they all just re-skins of 200 other cars. To me the solution is for everyone to stop buying the re-skinned stuff and maybe they will produce a NEW item...
If you mean that RDO like main menu when starting the game that thing doesn't exist on PC at least and i don't think old gen consoles has that either, only way to know what is limited and what not is to check weekly newswire or from youtubers.
I feel like these will return at some point but I agree that there should be more communication. I had no clue until I saw something mentioning the Panthere.
What they could do is give more use to to auto shop, like during the week or month that the cars in the game they could have a mission in the auto shop to get the car either at a discounted price or to just get it
FOMO is probably one of, if not the worst thing in modern gaming i hate the most. A compromise I want to see replace total FOMO is instead of removing the accessibility to the item completely, game companies maybe up the price of the item (with in game currency) so that you can either get it during an event or certain period and if you miss it then maybe you could grind a little more for it later. This could apply to every game but I know damn well that ain’t happening. I’m just glad DRG doesn’t do fomo
I agree that it's not the best way to have a car be available only for week in case there is someone that is not able to play in that time period. Maybe you can buy the car from your friend in the meet up if they happen to own one even after it's gone from the shop, but yeah it sucks if you completely miss it. However I don't agree that it's hard to earn money anymore in the game tho. There's so many guides on youtube about how to get started and once you get certain amount of money you are basically good forever. Of course you need to play the game if you want to get that money, that should not be a surprise to anyone. I do have to say, why do you think they are able to deliver free updates to this game and have been doing so for the past 10 years. There has to be some kind of business models in the product if you want that product to get free updates all the time. So basically if you don't have time to play the game, you have an option to buy these DLC's (by buying in game money). Another way could be that they would charge money for the DLC's, like many other games do. I don't agree with every decision that Rockstar has done regarding the updates, but I know I've had fun playing this game 10 years already. So the amount that I've had to pay vs the time that I have played this game is actually pretty low compared to some other games. And Rockstar gives us the information regarding the updates in the Newswire, the problem is that people don't read them and then say that they are not telling us anything.
I don't think Newswire mentioned what date the first limited time vehicle was disappearing (just that it was limited time), but I'm pretty sure Newswire did give a hard date on the most recent vehicle.
I feel like a quick solution for this could be making a long mission kind of like a heist to be able to unlock the car which can be fully bought without spending a single dime on the game but keep it available for 1-2 months at most or give the option to purchase it with shark cards not only this would incentive players to grind and make money but they could also make more money on shark cards and maybe bring it back in rotation with other vehicles for example this month it’s the scramjet next month it’s the oppressor mark 1 ( ofc not these vehicles but exclusive vehicles for this event) and just keep them in rotation with new rare vehicles
For the last point along with having it be able to be won by the casino I’d also make a change to Simon’s dealership where it will also be there and his dealership will offer some kind of discount on the car
Also I don’t agree at all with removing cars from the game, I think it should be something more like it’ll only have a time limited livery however I would be ok with removing cars temporarily in the event if there was some kind of super big bug with them so that it can be fixed and then they would be added back in
I’m my opinion I really don’t like the look or how they drive, so for rockstar to have a time limit on these cars doesn’t affect me too much. But I do agree that they do need to keep the cars in game longer so people that do like them are able to get them and not have to worry, a good way to let us know when they pull the cars off is to have a sale on them for a couple 100K for the last week.
This issue hits with me personally because I took a break from gta for about 6 months. I just got completely bored with the game and uninstalled completely. I came back a couple weeks ago only to find out they released a car that I actually really like and would’ve loved to have (the Annis) just to be told it got taken out before I got back into the game and I probably won’t be able to get it any time soon, if at all. Sad day.
I think having limitied time cars in a sense is cool because it gives the car a reason to buy it insted of it just being another car. Just the issue it how quickly these are being removed and with no clear indication to it being removed
Yeah makes a lot of sense. I stopped playing GTA for like 2 1/2 months cause I've been busy working long hours and I work night shifts so when I came back and all this stuff was added I was like wtf
If you missed the limited time cars like 300R or Issi Rally or Panthere I can help you (if these cars can enter LS car meet) I don't know if they can or not but can give a try if you want them I can bring them to LS car meet so you can buy the car. I'm on PC
I don't even worry about buying vehicles anymore unless it's better than something I currently use. I have certain ones I use for races, ones I use for missions, and some I use for trying stunts and just having fun. The rest just sit in a garage and never get used.
One idea of how they could remove vehicles, for the weekly vehicles on sale they could remove them after for 2 - 3 weeks. That way you would know which are going away for awhile plus you get a discount on the car you wanted (assuming it is getting vaulted).
I would just want them to say if it's inte tional and let us know when it drops. I don't give a care if it's limited time or whatever. Like the holiday content. Other than that big deal. We miss out on stuff all the time. I just keep a stock of money when new toys or sales drop anyway. If I miss out on something I miss out but no one should sacrifice enjoyment for compulsive behavior. Video also feels ironic because of the predatory aspect of making it seem like they're taking things *from us* like deleting the cars or like it's more impactful like some kind of mission content. We all know full well people will see that and run with it too without knowing specifics...
I thought the same thing. "Taking away from us" definitely comes across as "the item you already bought will be deleted", not "you will lose the option to buy this item".
I been playing this game for 4 yrs and don’t actually mind R* gettin their money how they do it would just be nice if they could take the time to completely remove glitches like permanent off radar or godmode.Take care of your game, actually fix shxt, and the community will support you 100%
I can get by the reskinned work because it's still adding new content to Online which is great. And at this point they probably don't have the budget or staff to make anything too big now, so it's pretty good for what they have

I thought that you meant items were being deleted from your inventory because of the words "Deleting Your Stuff". In actuality, your items are not being deleted, but rather items that you might purchase are. I purchased the time-limited cars. Some of the people, myself included, think it is kind of cool that they own a car that few other players have. Mark my word, these cars will be offered again in the future. I don't think that is such a big deal.
I think the best way to have limited time vehicles is to have them available for the WHOLE DLC (or if they’re drip fed then from when they were dropped) then they make it obvious that they’ll be going away when the next DLC drops or something like that

Only point I have contention with is payment for GTA V is not payment for GTA online, those are two different logic bases that have separate costs.. I am older gen and very used to paying for a game and finishing it.. .done. Now there are games that are "free" but to get ahead, you pay... not going to argue what is best but GTA online has got to cost Rockstar $$$$ and recouping that cost at least IMO is more than the game itself... I kinda got the impression that the way this was going to work was a limited time purchase and then when all content was done all would be available, as a way to get those early adopters snagged. I hope this is the case.
Rockstar used to be such a respected name in the industry, I still remember the initial "Skyrim with guns" review and being so impressed with the depth of the world. They sold out to microtransactions after not being able to regulate their own game economy and have abused their player base so much that I'm not even excited for GTA VI anymore. It's just sad, I basically grew up in GTA Online and to see these really anti-customer business practices just puts a damper on so many fond memories. Take me back lmao
For me the only changes needed. 1) A clear sign it’s going away, either a timer of a badge saying limited Time like they do for sales. 2) if they really want to have them for a week, then make it so that week it’s on the casino wheel, not only making it so you can win 1 for free, if you want more then sure pay more.
I don’t like taking content away especially given that there is old or dead content that they could liquidate for whatever reason they are needing to liquidate stuff (usually storage). However, if they want to do this for the rarity of items, then get rid of the old cars and drip in new ones or drip the old cars with updated physics and drip out the lowest purchased properties, in favor of newer higher dollar ones that encourage players to get money. The casino and the properties that were required for heists is a good example. We had to grind to make the money to afford the properties and the reward was more playable/payable content which then rewarded us with more money.
it's very hard to be annoyed at this car removal stuff since they have done events in the past for limited edition clothes for special events and limited special events like special loot for casino and cayo heist

With this, they just remove content and act like it never existed. It's another brazen money grab and another reason to hate rockstar

There's the problem. They treat you like shit and you beg them to sell you another game. Boycott GTA6, its the only way they will ever learn, they only care about their shareholders, we are just cattle to them.
I'm confused about all of this anyway since Rockstar has clearly stated that GTA V and Online are feature complete and wouldn't receive any more major content updates so development can concentrate on GTA VI. Still releasing something that's almost entirely rehashed and spread out over a long time feels disingenuous.

I don't see it as a problem at all, losing cars every week. You can always buy those cars from your friends at the LS Carmeet. Rockstar isn't interested in earning money from your sharkcard sales. You're giving them money every month as a Plus Subscriber. Rockstar is in the business of pleasing their shareholders. Rockstar has acutely given new players especially, the most amount of money making options ever. Since I started playing 4 years ago, ever, this game was really tough to grind then but Ina short short time, the Agency came out and easy money here we go! Cayo? They keep giving and giving. So, all is not lost, why are people upset about not being able to buy a car when we have the LS Carmeet to buy each other's vehicles? If you couldn't afford the car when it came out, you can still grind to afford to buy your friend's car later. All is not lost.
This is all true and I agree, money in-game is as easy to make as to spend these days. You can't buy those cars from other players in the LSCM, though, like the Arena War reward vehicles, Lost Slamvan etc. I'm sure I read that in some forum or in another video somewhere. I might be mistaken.
As far as i know the ability to sell these in current gen consoles via LSCM is disabled, old gen and PC doesn't even have that feature at all so that kinda sucks. Would gladly sell Annis 300R with Kisama livery for anyone who wanted it but can't :/
@Winland88 I thought so, too. Thanks for confirming that. The 300r has fast become my favourite car, didn't like the look of it at all at first but wow, I really think it's gorgeous now. It's not the quickest by far but it's a real pleasure to drive.
I agree with the month and that it needs to be apparent I won't be able to buy it I was busy the entire first 2 weeks for the 300r and had no idea it was even in the game to just log on and buy it real quick at some point
I've also had an issue where I can no longer find my oppressor mk1. I've checked all garages on at a time, others have checked as well. It was saved and I've used it several times on different days and other friends have used it and now its not able to be called.

I believe the next GTA Online updates will be season like. For example, we are in the Los Santos Drug Wars season, so they will split its content throughout the months. Maybe 4 "DLCs" in a year, for each being 4 months per season.
Please for the love of God don't do a Battle Pass. That is one of the worst innovations that has ever come out in gaming, and I fully blame Fortnite for it.
What they could do is when they first release a car they have it be at a lower price and then after a week or month or whatever they can have it be at a higher price, but it stays in the game for forever

after couple years of grinding i had quite a lot of stuff, like a full office garage with super cars and stuff but i log on like 6 months later (cause i got bored and my mate was getting into it) and most of it is gone, i had 2 super cars a couple buildings and thats it... i was so mad but i couldn't do anything about it
I popped into GTA Online again last week after taking months off. I had ZERO idea these cars were only available for a limited time until I saw this video.
There's also the fact that people from certain locations can only access gta online a few times a week. The rest of the time it just says no network connection.
I was just grinding for the Nissan Z a few weeks ago but I didn’t know it’s gonna be off sale, so I grinded slowly and when I had enough money I went for it, and it was off sale already ;-;
I didn't got my hands on Weeny Issi Rally. I like the look of this car since I love Mini Cooper irl. I was just following advice of not entering the game since it was being destroyed by modders in that time. Now I gotta wait several months for it, thx R*.
I think they do it to make the Auto shop & Car Meet more Viable, all the "Limited Time" cars are available as long as you have a friend or meet someone at the car meet....thats how i got my 300r in January
This idea could be tweaked into something cool. Maybe have trade cars (needs a better name) that start at a regular price, and everyone can buy it for a few days but after the only way to get it is to auction it off to other players. (Pricing would stop at a reasonable point)

i think rockstars at a point where if the create new places,bioms,buildings by themselves, and stuff like NEW missions would only end up increasing the games file at one point if the do add these in the future it would end up as MW2 so much big in file sizes but the community would just argue over them making updates to big the old gen consoles arent supported and another fight over another, i could be wrong why they arent making good updates good be money or lack of resources maybe even staff not enjoying doing these

When it comes to limited time items it sounds like a good idea.. but here is my pov.. I recently switched to next gen/ current generation console I bought E&E and I restarted bc I wanted to.. I have the ability to merge my old account at any point.. but when R* does this kind of stuff when I switch from an Account where I had litterly everything.. to an Account where I’m just beginning to make consistent money.. it feels like a kick in the nuts to have things removed that I hypothetically could have been working to buy..
They've been doing this with my weapons and ammo since the bunker came out. I dont even bother buying new weapons anymore as its just a rental system. Maybe rockstar should FIX THIS SHIT BROKEN MESS OF A GAME AND STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.
I've just been losing my motivation to even get on it anymore with the way they kept going. First breaking point was when I saw a mid 90's "eclipse" for over 1m. They just threw it out there they just just wanna push the shark cards down your throat. I bought the game, multiple times, that's all the money it gets from me.

I actually appreciate Rockstars approach to DLC. I bought this game and haven't had to pay for a single DLC. Could you imagine if Rockstar was Activision? We'd have to pay for the dlc then pay for whatever new vehicles we wanted. And it wouldn't be in game money. I respect that they've kept a way for me to grind and buy things if I don't want to buy sharkcards, which I've never done.
Same here brother I've been playing for alittle under 2yrs have 500+ mill and thats with all the new dlc content. Never bought or plan to buy shark cards or gta+ I have enough gta cash to care less if they sell cars at 5 mil to whatever.

But in an age where developers are releasing incomplete games at full price with day 1 dlc, I can appreciate that I haven't spent a dime on this game beyond initial purchase AND still get new content.

For me I'm always impressed by new graphics in games. I get the newer generation complaints because this is what they started at. There always can be improvements but for me my gripes and complaints are more with in game interaction within the game meaning more freemode activities like San Andreas. Bar,gym,dating,restaurants etc. Other than that less than $50 a yr. I all smiles and addicted lol.
This that pissed me off with the Issi, is that yes it was only available for one week. The week in which everyone on PC was told to stay out of the game for our own safety.

I have a rule of thumb that works for me very well: Only buy cars when they are on sale. And I already have almost all of my parking garage spots filled. So I don‘t buy these cars which are getting removed a week or two after release. And I‘m pretty sure Rockstar will bring them back for a week or two, so they can earn money with them again, because collectors are pushing the prices up. Or R* will bring them on the podium or as a price ride without them being a available at any store.

I have always done this. Before this i had less than 5 parking slots free and only purchased one vehicle that wasn’t on sale and had a price tag over a million. It’s a habit that I have had since the beginning and it allowed me to reinvest all my profits in businesses rather than luxuries. That being said at this point I’m pretty flush in the game so it’s really no skin off my back when I fall for these fomo tactics. I’m frugal as hell but I’m also not going wait when I don’t have to. I’m sure it will come back in the end and on sale too but I have no regrets every time I drive the 300r.
Part of the fun for me is waiting to see if I can get upgrades, properties, cars on sale
@@laxdemon13 Having fin is the best thing you can do. That‘s why I had to buy the 50 cars garage even while it‘s not on sale, because I had to channel my inner Monk. So I use the 50 cars garage to have enough space to sort my cars with the same theme or color or brand, depending on my priorities at that time. 😉

Got a strong feeling limited time content will come back more easily available for gta+ members for everyone else could be months or a year unless they decide to make them permanently available. As you said about month long events that exactly how I feel it should be. Not just GTA but lots of games have some events that only last a week then it could be a while before they return but in my case I work away from home for 20 days only come home for 10 then leave again so chances are I could miss content again. A month would certainly be enough. I mean it's not the end of the world still go on with life but folks like me who can't play any given week should at least get a fair chance to experience rare content.
They'll be sticking these missing contents back into the new car showrooms from time to time, I think. The showrooms are really a kind of pointless addition otherwise.
Previously unavailable vehicles, like the Dubsta and Speedo, have already been made available from there. They also put some other special features on those vehicles, liveries, coloured stock rims etc.
The cars will be back.

Also, people need to drop this whole "Doing it to sell more Shark Cards" argument. It gets thrown about for every single little thing that requires a little work to achieve, or more accurately, it gets thrown around as a catchphrase people have learned now. Just read any comment thread, it's pathetic.
Shark Cards exist and people can and will buy them, or not. It's the way most modern games work and to be completely real, you don't find a single advert for them in GTA-O, not even a shadily disguised one. You need to actually leave the game envirionment to even find out how and where to purchase them.
Rockstar Games are one of the leaders in the industry because of the strength of their excruciatingly detailed and captivating products and this is shown explicitly, a full decade after GTA 5 released.
Fraught with bugs and glitches that we all love and/or hate them for, these guys are no slouch and they don't rely on me buying a little £11 Shark Card to be the leaders and never will, it's just an extra option that's made available, which they really don't advertise shamelessly to us at all.
* And it's really so easy to make legitimate in-game money these days. Lots of it.
The only thing you really need to buy is the game itself, which includes over 40 completely FREE dlc updates.
They're really kind of the opposite of just a bunch of Shark Card card sharks.

In game money is not an issue for me, I'm buying the new cars when they release anyway, but I do feel for new players or player without a lot of money. They are being forced to spend what little they have or buy shark cards to get them.
Of the 3 cars they've discontinued, the 300R is the only one I bought or even considered buying. The other 2 are overpriced pieces of shit

A better way to do this would be to have the cars off by like 20% when they release then after a week it goes up to full price. Rockstar can still use fomo while the players still get access to the car.
Reddead had clothing items that would cycle in and out with weekly updates. I enjoyed having exclusive clothing not everyone had and would ensure I was checking every weeks updated wardrobe it was the only thing to buy in rdo
Firstly, I really do appreciate your videos. I haven't bought any cars for such a long time now because they all just re-skins of 200 other cars. To me the solution is for everyone to stop buying the re-skinned stuff and maybe they will produce a NEW item...
They do mention a date in the main menu. For the alpine they did say buy it now until February 22.
If you mean that RDO like main menu when starting the game that thing doesn't exist on PC at least and i don't think old gen consoles has that either, only way to know what is limited and what not is to check weekly newswire or from youtubers.

What they could do is give more use to to auto shop, like during the week or month that the cars in the game they could have a mission in the auto shop to get the car either at a discounted price or to just get it
FOMO is probably one of, if not the worst thing in modern gaming i hate the most. A compromise I want to see replace total FOMO is instead of removing the accessibility to the item completely, game companies maybe up the price of the item (with in game currency) so that you can either get it during an event or certain period and if you miss it then maybe you could grind a little more for it later. This could apply to every game but I know damn well that ain’t happening. I’m just glad DRG doesn’t do fomo
I agree that it's not the best way to have a car be available only for week in case there is someone that is not able to play in that time period. Maybe you can buy the car from your friend in the meet up if they happen to own one even after it's gone from the shop, but yeah it sucks if you completely miss it. However I don't agree that it's hard to earn money anymore in the game tho. There's so many guides on youtube about how to get started and once you get certain amount of money you are basically good forever. Of course you need to play the game if you want to get that money, that should not be a surprise to anyone.
I do have to say, why do you think they are able to deliver free updates to this game and have been doing so for the past 10 years. There has to be some kind of business models in the product if you want that product to get free updates all the time. So basically if you don't have time to play the game, you have an option to buy these DLC's (by buying in game money). Another way could be that they would charge money for the DLC's, like many other games do. I don't agree with every decision that Rockstar has done regarding the updates, but I know I've had fun playing this game 10 years already. So the amount that I've had to pay vs the time that I have played this game is actually pretty low compared to some other games.
And Rockstar gives us the information regarding the updates in the Newswire, the problem is that people don't read them and then say that they are not telling us anything.
I don't think Newswire mentioned what date the first limited time vehicle was disappearing (just that it was limited time), but I'm pretty sure Newswire did give a hard date on the most recent vehicle.

I feel like a quick solution for this could be making a long mission kind of like a heist to be able to unlock the car which can be fully bought without spending a single dime on the game but keep it available for 1-2 months at most or give the option to purchase it with shark cards not only this would incentive players to grind and make money but they could also make more money on shark cards and maybe bring it back in rotation with other vehicles for example this month it’s the scramjet next month it’s the oppressor mark 1 ( ofc not these vehicles but exclusive vehicles for this event) and just keep them in rotation with new rare vehicles
For the last point along with having it be able to be won by the casino I’d also make a change to Simon’s dealership where it will also be there and his dealership will offer some kind of discount on the car
Also I don’t agree at all with removing cars from the game, I think it should be something more like it’ll only have a time limited livery however I would be ok with removing cars temporarily in the event if there was some kind of super big bug with them so that it can be fixed and then they would be added back in
they should put a timer next to the car that counts the time left to be removed.
I’m my opinion I really don’t like the look or how they drive, so for rockstar to have a time limit on these cars doesn’t affect me too much. But I do agree that they do need to keep the cars in game longer so people that do like them are able to get them and not have to worry, a good way to let us know when they pull the cars off is to have a sale on them for a couple 100K for the last week.
This issue hits with me personally because I took a break from gta for about 6 months. I just got completely bored with the game and uninstalled completely. I came back a couple weeks ago only to find out they released a car that I actually really like and would’ve loved to have (the Annis) just to be told it got taken out before I got back into the game and I probably won’t be able to get it any time soon, if at all. Sad day.
It is not just the car. Also to unlock the rare clothing they make you play the game everyday to complete 10 G’s Cache and 10 stach houses.
I think having limitied time cars in a sense is cool because it gives the car a reason to buy it insted of it just being another car. Just the issue it how quickly these are being removed and with no clear indication to it being removed

I don't even worry about buying vehicles anymore unless it's better than something I currently use. I have certain ones I use for races, ones I use for missions, and some I use for trying stunts and just having fun. The rest just sit in a garage and never get used.
One idea of how they could remove vehicles, for the weekly vehicles on sale they could remove them after for 2 - 3 weeks.
That way you would know which are going away for awhile plus you get a discount on the car you wanted (assuming it is getting vaulted).
Imagine how bad it will be in Gta6🤦♂️ Or even worse they will ONLY be available on Gta+. ✌

I thought that you meant items were being deleted from your inventory because of the words "Deleting Your Stuff". In actuality, your items are not being deleted, but rather items that you might purchase are. I purchased the time-limited cars. Some of the people, myself included, think it is kind of cool that they own a car that few other players have. Mark my word, these cars will be offered again in the future. I don't think that is such a big deal.
I couldn't get the Issi Rally because of the PC situation a few weeks ago. When they finally patched it the car was gone.
I'm 95% sure that the next dripfeed car is gonna be the ocelot virtue. And that's big one.

I think the best way to have limited time vehicles is to have them available for the WHOLE DLC (or if they’re drip fed then from when they were dropped) then they make it obvious that they’ll be going away when the next DLC drops or something like that

Only point I have contention with is payment for GTA V is not payment for GTA online, those are two different logic bases that have separate costs.. I am older gen and very used to paying for a game and finishing it.. .done. Now there are games that are "free" but to get ahead, you pay... not going to argue what is best but GTA online has got to cost Rockstar $$$$ and recouping that cost at least IMO is more than the game itself... A month to aquire a limited time vehicle is much more acceptable considering that not everyone has very flexible schedules.
I kinda got the impression that the way this was going to work was a limited time purchase and then when all content was done all would be available, as a way to get those early adopters snagged. I hope this is the case.
Rockstar used to be such a respected name in the industry, I still remember the initial "Skyrim with guns" review and being so impressed with the depth of the world. They sold out to microtransactions after not being able to regulate their own game economy and have abused their player base so much that I'm not even excited for GTA VI anymore. It's just sad, I basically grew up in GTA Online and to see these really anti-customer business practices just puts a damper on so many fond memories. Take me back lmao

For me the only changes needed.
1) A clear sign it’s going away, either a timer of a badge saying limited Time like they do for sales.
2) if they really want to have them for a week, then make it so that week it’s on the casino wheel, not only making it so you can win 1 for free, if you want more then sure pay more.
I don’t like taking content away especially given that there is old or dead content that they could liquidate for whatever reason they are needing to liquidate stuff (usually storage). However, if they want to do this for the rarity of items, then get rid of the old cars and drip in new ones or drip the old cars with updated physics and drip out the lowest purchased properties, in favor of newer higher dollar ones that encourage players to get money. The casino and the properties that were required for heists is a good example. We had to grind to make the money to afford the properties and the reward was more playable/payable content which then rewarded us with more money.
it's very hard to be annoyed at this car removal stuff since they have done events in the past for limited edition clothes for special events and limited special events like special loot for casino and cayo heist

I constantly keep getting all of my ammo stripped. It doesn't cost much to buy all ammo but having to do some several times adds up.

I don't see it as a problem at all, losing cars every week. You can always buy those cars from your friends at the LS Carmeet. Rockstar isn't interested in earning money from your sharkcard sales. You're giving them money every month as a Plus Subscriber. Rockstar is in the business of pleasing their shareholders. Rockstar has acutely given new players especially, the most amount of money making options ever. Since I started playing 4 years ago, ever, this game was really tough to grind then but Ina short short time, the Agency came out and easy money here we go! Cayo? They keep giving and giving.
So, all is not lost, why are people upset about not being able to buy a car when we have the LS Carmeet to buy each other's vehicles? If you couldn't afford the car when it came out, you can still grind to afford to buy your friend's car later. All is not lost.

You can't buy those cars from other players in the LSCM, though, like the Arena War reward vehicles, Lost Slamvan etc. I'm sure I read that in some forum or in another video somewhere. I might be mistaken.

As far as i know the ability to sell these in current gen consoles via LSCM is disabled, old gen and PC doesn't even have that feature at all so that kinda sucks. Would gladly sell Annis 300R with Kisama livery for anyone who wanted it but can't :/

I agree with the month and that it needs to be apparent I won't be able to buy it I was busy the entire first 2 weeks for the 300r and had no idea it was even in the game to just log on and buy it real quick at some point
I've also had an issue where I can no longer find my oppressor mk1. I've checked all garages on at a time, others have checked as well. It was saved and I've used it several times on different days and other friends have used it and now its not able to be called.

I believe the next GTA Online updates will be season like. For example, we are in the Los Santos Drug Wars season, so they will split its content throughout the months. Maybe 4 "DLCs" in a year, for each being 4 months per season.
Please for the love of God don't do a Battle Pass. That is one of the worst innovations that has ever come out in gaming, and I fully blame Fortnite for it.

after couple years of grinding i had quite a lot of stuff, like a full office garage with super cars and stuff but i log on like 6 months later (cause i got bored and my mate was getting into it) and most of it is gone, i had 2 super cars a couple buildings and thats it... i was so mad but i couldn't do anything about it
I popped into GTA Online again last week after taking months off. I had ZERO idea these cars were only available for a limited time until I saw this video.
There's also the fact that people from certain locations can only access gta online a few times a week. The rest of the time it just says no network connection.

I think they do it to make the Auto shop & Car Meet more Viable, all the "Limited Time" cars are available as long as you have a friend or meet someone at the car meet....thats how i got my 300r in January

This idea could be tweaked into something cool. Maybe have trade cars (needs a better name) that start at a regular price, and everyone can buy it for a few days but after the only way to get it is to auction it off to other players. (Pricing would stop at a reasonable point)

i think rockstars at a point where if the create new places,bioms,buildings by themselves, and stuff like NEW missions would only end up increasing the games file at one point if the do add these in the future it would end up as MW2 so much big in file sizes but the community would just argue over them making updates to big the old gen consoles arent supported and another fight over another, i could be wrong why they arent making good updates good be money or lack of resources maybe even staff not enjoying doing these

When it comes to limited time items it sounds like a good idea.. but here is my pov.. I recently switched to next gen/ current generation console I bought E&E and I restarted bc I wanted to.. I have the ability to merge my old account at any point.. but when R* does this kind of stuff when I switch from an Account where I had litterly everything.. to an Account where I’m just beginning to make consistent money.. it feels like a kick in the nuts to have things removed that I hypothetically could have been working to buy..
They've been doing this with my weapons and ammo since the bunker came out. I dont even bother buying new weapons anymore as its just a rental system.
Maybe rockstar should FIX THIS SHIT BROKEN MESS OF A GAME AND STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.
I straight up didn’t know about the Annis 300R and would’ve loved to buy but now I can’t.
I've just been losing my motivation to even get on it anymore with the way they kept going. First breaking point was when I saw a mid 90's "eclipse" for over 1m. They just threw it out there they just just wanna push the shark cards down your throat. I bought the game, multiple times, that's all the money it gets from me.
I want the nissan 400z so bad, I didn't know it would be gone, so when it was available I thought I would postpone it a bit due to lack of funds, but had just enough to take it and I would've if I knew.. what a dumb thing and yeah f Rockstar

I actually appreciate Rockstars approach to DLC. I bought this game and haven't had to pay for a single DLC. Could you imagine if Rockstar was Activision? We'd have to pay for the dlc then pay for whatever new vehicles we wanted. And it wouldn't be in game money. I respect that they've kept a way for me to grind and buy things if I don't want to buy sharkcards, which I've never done.
Same here brother I've been playing for alittle under 2yrs have 500+ mill and thats with all the new dlc content. Never bought or plan to buy shark cards or gta+ I have enough gta cash to care less if they sell cars at 5 mil to whatever.
@edoggca82 yeah I started during covid and I'm sitting at 88 million. Buy whatever I want whenever. Are there improvements Rockstar can make? Yeah. But in an age where developers are releasing incomplete games at full price with day 1 dlc, I can appreciate that I haven't spent a dime on this game beyond initial purchase AND still get new content.
@@eugeneperry8347 Yep just the PS+ subscription. Lol I'm closer to 50 than 40 so I've seen games evolved from my childhood atari days to online open world gaming. For me I'm always impressed by new graphics in games. I get the newer generation complaints because this is what they started at. There always can be improvements but for me my gripes and complaints are more with in game interaction within the game meaning more freemode activities like San Andreas. Bar,gym,dating,restaurants etc. Other than that less than $50 a yr. I all smiles and addicted lol.
This that pissed me off with the Issi, is that yes it was only available for one week. The week in which everyone on PC was told to stay out of the game for our own safety.
