What's really special to me watching this again after all these years is I know whose pots they are before you show the name tag. Not for all of them of course, but for the potters I love and follow, their work is undeniably theirs. Clive Bowen, Phil Rogers Lisa Hammond, Nic Collins, Ruthanne Tudball, and of course yours as well. It reminds me of when I started and I would look through books in the San Francisco main library pottery section. I wanted to learn from specific potters so my influence would be in line with what I liked. So I would flip pages quickly and stop only if a pot grabbed me. If it did not grab me I did not get that book. I think that helped me stay true to myself and not get distracted by every kind of ceramics out there. I wanted to learn to make pots in the Leach tradition and from those who took that further. Thanks for sharing this walk around.
Thank you Steve for sharing this gorgeous pottery with the world! I found it to be a refreshing view this morning. One day I hope to make it across the "pond" to see the wonderful UK potters first hand.
WOW Steve... this is an awesome video! Loved seeing the buildings for one, very beautiful. I can not even imagine how one would see every piece of pottery in one building... there are displays full of talented artist with so many different ideas for their pieces. I was most fascinated with the Copper Reds. Someone sure knows what they are doing with those! Loved the video... thanks for sharing with us and how did you do? Thank you for sharing! OH, did you notice when you watch a video, (cont'd)
there are no videos of pottery on the right side bar, nor on the screen when the video is done. I guess it's like Facebook now, Ads are going to take our place :((
