The explicit reveal of the lack of stars via Fuuko's painting having star-like decorations around the moon and Gina questioning what they were was quite stunning. I go back to past chapters, yup there are no stars there (except the sun of course, though IIRC I'm on chapter thirty-something ATM so I don't know what's up with that). A relatively minor missing detail, that could just be chalked up to art style or environmental conditions (clouds, light pollution, etc), used as a hint toward the fundamental nature of the setting. I love Undead Unluck. I know its marketed as an action/comedy, but what I love about it is that it's also one of the few shounen series that does the romance between the main male character and female character really well. Fuuko and Andy haven't actually said "I love you", but you can see how their relationship grows into something not only romantic, but based on mutual respect. They're not just boyfriend/girlfriend, they're partners in every sense of the word. You don't see that in a lot of shounen series that have a romance between the main male character and [designated female love interest]. Fuuko has more to her life and her relationships than her guy. I haven't loved a male/female relationship in a shounen manga since Soul Eater, which had a similar main-character duo--both people had a similar amount of development, both with each other and with others. Actually, both manga also have the girlfriend use her boyfriend as a weapon. So. Maybe there's just something about the dynamic of "I will beat this motherfucker to death with another motherfucker."
Inuyasha walked so UU can run. When talking about shonen romance, Inuyasha is the earliest that got them right. Kagome and Inuyasha went from contempt ("fuck this magical quest, I'll get rid of him/her the first chance I got"), into indifference ("I guess I can let him/her be until we go our separate ways") into friendship ("I'll always be there for him/her") into respect ("looks like I was the one being saved every day") finally into genuine love ("you know what I can't imagine living without him/her") The only downside is that it's developed over a long ass period
Actually I think Fuuko says the words "I love you" in the one chapter when she has to delve into Andy's past experiences, right before she goes back to the present.
8:38 I know you cut it out to avoid spoilers, but I really liked the detail that forcibly overcoming the limits of your abilities via shortcuts and loopholes like Sean did originally is a fantastic detail. Then you could apply it to strength, and make someone's strength or power fall. Heck, you could apply it to age and make someone younger, apply it to intelligence and force someone to be stupid, make it cold in the room, bring a story to it's falling action (lol) ect.

Hopefully people will make it over the beginning humps of the bits in the anime, the character development, worldbuilding and fights in this manga are on par with any of the bests, which it is one of.

I love this series soooooo much.
As someone who've read the manga since the beginning (and rereading it to refresh my memory cuz of the anime), it still surprises me how even now I just realized the nuance of the sun and moon's appearance from the beginning until you mentioned it earlier 😯 I really like how the author challenges (I assume) our initial common assumption that this was just regular Earth like ours pre-chapter 9, can't wait how the current loop gonna go down now that Fuuko's holding the fort
I really liked Undead Unluck ever since it came out, but in chapter around 35-ish I was afraid that it was heading towards an axe ending and didn't keep up with it to avoid the heartbreak. fortunately, 140 chapters and an anime announcement later have clearly proven me wrong which I couldn't be happier about. I finally caught up to the manga after watching the first anime ep yesterday, and it's been super exciting!! I'm finally able to watch this video without being on edge for spoilers~
The "oh that's what that was" moment for me was when Victor asked what day of the week it was and nobody could answer him, then when galaxy appears and they mention week days existing, I was like ayo what? Then to find out about the loops and him being 1 of 2 people who has experienced them it really clicked all the small questions about that small conversation in place. Or fuko talking about the moon being lonely so she added sparkles in the sky just for galaxy to appear and make them real. It didn't really hit me that they weren't saying you can't see the stars tonight so the moon looks lonely. They meant it literally.
Just a reminder: when you have the power of UN-Death, what is the greatest that you can imagine it? Do you think that you cannot die or do you believe that what is dead can be unmade as so (Zombie Army)? Who is to say that if death is a concept, then the reversal of the esoteric concept of death would be a world without suffering, so you could make yourself truly feel, being immune to the deadening of your emotions.
Not yet updated to the latest chapter, but im back from Chapter 119. I am an emotional mess, I love all these characters in this manga, and how much they keep on giving. The power of love is a blessing and a curse! I'm continuing to read, but god does it hurt so good! They fight so hard for such noble love that I can only root for a happy ending. Fuck god in this manga! let these character live and love!!!
That's what got me. I saw a couple of dozen episodes of Inuyasha back in the stone age and got my fill of adventure mange/anime. Was just done with genre fiction, overall. Or so I thought. I read the manga based on a recommendation, and what a treat it was! What I like the best about the manga is the people and their relationships. The plot advances at a brisk pace, and the worldbuilding is good. There's a fair bit of infatuation and love, and it's not played for laughs... Obligatory grumbles about the early groping here. After that, much of the non-combat touching is affectionate and sets my heart racing. And Fuuko's growth, especially, is a serious contender for one of the best character arcs I've seen in genre fiction, it's a crime if the manga doesn't have a full run. (It's obvious that there will be a conclusion to the story in reasonable time, unlike, say, a certain story about a whistle of chill and warmth, of which the fans still waiting will never see another book)
A possible explanation to undead unluck having a sun before the galaxy was created might mean that another entity arrived that was the manifestation of our galaxy’s sun and that’s just what happened
I watched this whole thing thinking this was from a big channel the whole team with how professional and well put together everything was. You deserve a way bigger following. Good fucking video👍

Reading the manga and gonna rewatch the anime from the start if it gets a season 2 or even 3. I definitely wanna hear that opening again. 🎤🗣️ *"You know me"* 🎵🎶
Now that the anime is running you should consider reviewing each episode and/or reviewing cut content/differences between the anime and manga. It would surely be a net positive to your channel. Would just have to be wary of copyright
Fuuko is 18 years old at the start of the series. Theres a big gap on their ages but she is an adult. Also, even if they have romantic feelings for each other and they even kiss a few times, it doesn't escalates to anything sexual because its dangerous. At the current point of the series, Fuuko is a few hundreds of years old, so, even if they still have a massive age gap, you can argue that she has fully matured mentally.
The beginning was super rough(ecchi grope nonsense is a really bad idea to start with for early chapters nowadays) for unldead/uck so it's nice to see it grow into it's own story wise

There's nothing special about the power system. They all have powers and they just use them and improve them. That's about as simple as quirks from mah or ninjusu from naruto. In other words, simple. If you want a cool power system you look at hxh where each hunter's powers form based on their goals and are amplified by their limitations. Without limitations there's nothing interesting to be enjoyed. This is why nobody cares about super man, he's too op. People like batman because he's got so many flaws yet he's cool.
Nah it's special as the power change depending on your interpretation of it. For example, the user of unseen can turn invisible but by expanding their interpretation of being unseen they can turn their mass to zero essentially gaining new ability aligning with thr concept of being "unseen". The power it's not as rigid as quirk from MHA

@@viljakainu1548 it's such a beautiful and lovingly warm shounen and I'm all for it
I'd been reading since chapter 1 dropped on shonen jump. I had no clue it was going to get this big
Aw! Appreciate it, friend
Great video 👍
terrifying thumbnail though
THIS
SOUNDS
SO
FUCKING
COOL
Thanks for the recommendation
I gotchu
It’s funny how this video perfectly encapsulates my own thoughts. When I had to explain the power system to a friend, I chose to talk about the exact same thing with unseen
i read like the first few chapters a long time ago but it looked like there was gonna be an insane amount of fanservice especially with unluck
Reading the manga and gonna rewatch the anime from the start if it gets a season 2 or even 3. I definitely wanna hear that opening again. 🎤🗣️ *"You know me"* 🎵🎶
Unidentified Mysterious Anomaly?
isn't it animal lmao
The series is fucking amazing. Every chapter gets me more hype for the next!
Alright… now I have to read them all.
0:59 no hes undead
Fuuko secretly got Wonder of You
I really wish I could come up with a cool power system like this :(
I stopped reading the series after a bit. I did not know it got good enough to get an anime. I'll be going back and reading it all before the anime
didn't know i was unsex the virgin
Minor correction Andy has not been around for thousands of years
He's been around since about the 1850s since before this he was victor and not andy
great vid!
6:42 O-oh ok no warning lol
Incase you’re taking any manga suggestions, Im reading one called gachiakuta which has a pretty interesting power system so far.
Wicked Sick indeed
So... Fuuko has the balance with the only limitation of touch huh?
Have you witnessed Nen?
How could I forget it, it sticks in my head like rubber and gum.
Now that the anime is running you should consider reviewing each episode and/or reviewing cut content/differences between the anime and manga. It would surely be a net positive to your channel. Would just have to be wary of copyright
Am I the only one who thinks that he looks like Bryan from tekken? 😂
Undead x unluck is so good and unique
7:54 she is unjustice or does she get another ability in the manga?
I got started on this manga and just dropped it because it seemed too goofy/horny for me. ty for this vid it got me to give it a second chance!
A fucking meteor 6:50
No it's still Nen. But Negators are dope too tho.
It do be like rubber and gum. 😔
when you realize its the author's first work
So in this universe, would the four horsemen of the apocalypse be UMA's?
My honest reaction to this manga 🗿
UNfazed
god just imagine if gremmy from bleach was in this verse
He will be merced by unjustice or will have an encounter with some of the crazy umas like spoil or worst seal
Undead Unluck is really UNderrated
YOOOOOO HE SAID THE THING
I see what you did there
biggest and only issue with the series is the creepy and wierd age gaps and relasionships in the series, unfortunatly had to drop it for the reason
What?? How come there was no crowd in the anime?
theres always gonna be some cuts in animes... unfortunately
Why does Jump mangas have the best power system?
I read it fast too 😂
Unfortunately this series is very underrated.
Stands
The beginning was super rough(ecchi grope nonsense is a really bad idea to start with for early chapters nowadays) for unldead/uck so it's nice to see it grow into it's own story wise
Well, His theory was, If she banged him while Loving him, the Unluck would finally give him a good death, makes Sense
The Plot unfolding was still insane
@@kaso236he WHAT??
@@Soul.Resonant yea He thought that would be the Thing, at First they tried to find a real death to Andy but the Plot unfolded that the world is on a Loop and they need to defeat god to end it
@@Soul.Resonant god Just plays with earth for around 100 loops
@@kaso236after i made that comment i started reading the manga, got to say i can see why people stress about first impressions. Right now i just got to reveal of the 101 slots
get off that hype koolaid
bait title
Its not really that interesting of a power system.
It’s literally concept negation, there’s no quirk or ninjutsu as complex as that.
