Steamrail Victoria - Brighton Beach Tait Shuttles with the Red Rattler (4.02.2024)

- On the 4th of February 2024, tour agency Steamrail Victoria operated their annual Brighton Beach Red Rattler shuttles between:
• Brighton Beach-Sandringham
• Sandringham-Flinderstreet-Brighton Beach
The event included Steamrail Victoria's Red Rattler Tait set, which had 5 carries. 381M-208T-230D-341T-317M
The day started at Spotswood station, where the train departed Newport Workshops at 8:49 am.
The train then proceeded to Flinderstreet station where it stopped for a photoshop. Transfer 1 then continued through the bayside suburbs until it reached Brighton Beach. The train then did 6 shuttles between Brighton Beach, Sandringham and Flinderstreet. This means the train saw Brighton Beach 3 times in one shuttle + returned.

G'day Jamie, great video, it's just like the days when these trains used to take passengers to the beach. My favorite place to see trains on the Sandringham line is North Brighton, it's not only near the train world shop but the level crossing is on the main street, which is a great place to film and photograph your favourite trains. Especially the old comeng fleet.
