After watching this AMV around 20 times or so, this has to be one of my favorites. Maybe it's the fact that I greatly prefer character-based AMV's to other AMV's, maybe it's the way the song ties in with the visuals for an overall epic story, or maybe it's the great effects that push this far above an amateur project while not yet making it anything over-the-top. Goku is definitely not my favorite DBZ character, but this AMV does his character justice. I especially enjoyed the final 45 seconds of the AMV in particular, with the death of Goku's best friend pushing him over the edge into the depths of his super saiyan strength. While this may be an AMV made just for fun, I believe it did a fantastic job of transitioning from the innocence of Goku's childhood to the tragedies brought forth by his arch rival, Vegeta, and by the tyrant, Frieza, to his final moments on Namek when he served justice and avenged his fallen comrades. Everything in this AMV clicked for me. This song has been stuck in my head for the past week, and every time I think of it I picture moments from this AMV. Without a doubt, this is my favorite AMV you've made so far. Keep up the quality content! :)

This amv truly made something happen inside of me. that last part with goku going ssj was really well executed. each time i see it, it really gets me all teary eyed. got shivers when i saw it for the first time as a 10 year old, and even now turning 18, i still get shivers, truly an amazing and powerful moment

I loved it from Dragon Ball to DBZ Super Saiyan Goku "supposedly" died in the explosion of Namek, because originally would end the series. GREAT JOB! :)
You are right that it was supposed to end there, but Gohan was the main character, not Goku, so the show still would have been able to continue even without Goku.

For some reason even today I still admire Goku as one of the best heroic characters. No matter how times he falls, sacrifice or dies he's always there for his family and friends. Even though his job is protect the Earth from evil forces he always searches for some time to spend with family and friends. Same goes for Vegeta. He may not show his soft side much but he too cares. #DBZ is more than just action packed anime. Awesome vid btw!! :D

Even though people say you are only using the "basic editing skillz" or "try something new" they say, you mastered those "basic" things till the absolute perfction in my eyes. You always amaze me with your videos, even if they are something like Mini AMV's. To me and many other people you are the best DBZ editor there is. I know DBZ33Q uses A TON of effects and I dont want to say they are bad, or his editing is bad, its just too much for me. Thats why you are the best DBZ editor in my opinion. Because you do not overuse effects or anything. Just the perfected, so called, basics. Please keep amazing us with your AMV's! :)
