Mark, I've been with you forever on your live streams. You've kept me company through many years and tough times. I just need to say again how happy I am for you. One thing that has always amazed me is your trucks always stay so scratch free. I think my 2019 1794 Brown Tundra is just a scratch magnet! 67! I love ya being here pal! I always go out of my way to park away from everyone. Most of the black Tundras ive had, will have some fine scratches here and there, but i always worked overnight and parked alone. I’m extra careful but if i see a scratch, it is what it is.
I purchased a Limited myself last weekend. Mine came with the spray in bedliner so I don't have that con. I also purchased the NSV dual wireless charger from Slee Offroad. It was $225 shipped so not a very cheap upgrade but seems to work better than the factory wireless charger. I actually had the charger before the truck because of all the bad things I heard about the factory one. It definitely is not for the faint of heart taking apart the whole center console area. Thankfully no broken clips for me. I found that getting into the bed is challenging as the rear bumper does not have what was a usable portion like the second gens had. So a con for me was I needed to get a bed step. I watched a video on electronic bed steps and install looked difficult. So I purchased a manual one from Amazon that seemed to have the most and best reviews for around $100. Loving the truck so far!
I’m glad you’re happy I will never get rid of my 2017 1794 with a big beautiful V-8 engine I also have the Trd package with a sway bar. For me it is my dream truck and I will never let it go.

It’s been suggested on other channels or reviews that the door window glass may actually be different, do you think thats actually possible? Lastly, other than the style of the seats and fabric, do you think there are other construction differences (not just options, tech, or seat materials) between say an SR5 and a Platinum or 1794? If that’s the case, what would those be, and is it fact or just opinions? (Asking if you’ve heard anything 1st hand from Toyota or dealers that is confirmed)
Thats a lot of questions, i’ll do my best! On my 23 SR5, when closing the door, it always sounded and felt like i needed to close it again. These doors have a thicker sound when closing, if that makes sense. Could be more insulation as the cab is quieter. The side windows are all the same on the trims except for Capstone, which offers the acoustic laminated side windows. I think the seats construction are the same with different covers over them. For instance, in SR5, you can get the fabric or softex, which are fine. In 1794 with the leather, it has a much softer feel.

I don't like interior chrome or highly reflective surfaces. It's really bad to be driving and get sun glare in your eyes off those surfaces. You interior looks really good. The only thing that might be a slight problem is the glossy finish around the shifter. The silver accents on the steering wheel and around the vents look to have a matte finish to eliminate glare.

Will it stay running when started with app or fob when door is opened. One of your reviews shows the Tacoma not shutting off on the new ones. Still waiting on the update for this on my 2024 limited Tundra is really does ____ well you know?
I inquired on a 24 since they had $7k off here. Unfortunately they only offered $39k trade for my 22 CM TRD OR Premium. 18k loss is too much for a 2yr 30k mile truck.
I got rid of my 2017 SR5 Crewmax 3 years ago and put a deposit on a 2021 TRD Pro. While I was waiting for it to be delivered to the dealer I ended buying a 2021 Fully loaded Ram 2500 Laramie with a lift and wheels installed by the Dodge dealer… I’m currently going through a lemon law and now looking for a 2020-2021 Tundra. I wish I waited went with the Tundra TRD Pro because the Ram has been a nightmare. I still feel real skeptical about the new generation Tundra. I test drove one and it didn’t feel as solid to me as the previous generation.
I have seen them. They really hold their value. I’m even considering a lower trim and installing an upgraded suspension such as King or Icon. The other trim levels are much cheaper. Once my attorney finishes the lemon law on my Ram I will start looking more seriously. Even after getting my piece of 💩 Ram I still watch your channel. lol
Honestly I'm kinda surprised to hear the wireless phone charger being a con to you and apparently many others. I use it all the time and don't have any issues with it. I too like the fake engine noise, but I would like to turn it off and hear what the truck sounds like without it.
Its kind of like when people complain about interior QC issues, i’ve never had any creaking or wind noise in the new gens ive owned and driven. I guess we are just lucky.
@@TundraDude34 I didn't notice much wind noise when I first got my truck. I then installed the in channel window deflectors. Those do make some noticable wind noise but it's a small price to pay to keep my windows cracked on a hot rainy day. I also HIGHLY suggest getting a matte colored plastic piece to cover the piano black around the shift knob and drive modes.
Hard to believe people are still buying the current Tundra knowing what we know about the unresolved major issues. Dealers won't even take them in trade.
The retail value of my trade in was high 40s. It was the fully loaded SR5 TRD. Values range like crazy in SR5 because there are so many ways they can be optioned or base.
I owned a 2005 Tundra Double Cab Limited for 10yrs and had no issues with back seat room. My moon roof was also larger than my current 2016 Tundra Crewmax Limited.

How much more would the iMax version be?
The max adds roughy 2500-3k
Hey I'm looking for the same truck down here in Columbia, SC, do you think he could find a deal like that again.
Worth a try. Reach out to him
What is your monthly payment now for this 1794 ?
I’m gonna do a full video breakdown on the deal
Does the previous generation crew cab have more room in the back seat than this current one? The new generation rear seat appears smaller in leg room.
The 2nd gen definitely has more rear space. The new gen crewmax is a solid amount as well, but not as cavernous
They are out there, just gotta widen your search!
I have seen them. They really hold their value. I’m even considering a lower trim and installing an upgraded suspension such as King or Icon. The other trim levels are much cheaper. Once my attorney finishes the lemon law on my Ram I will start looking more seriously. Even after getting my piece of 💩 Ram I still watch your channel. lol
@samdog1232000 sorry you are going through that!
Can you turn off the fed in noise of the engine ?
The dealer can, and im pretty sure there is something you can buy that has the option to turn it off, but not 100% on that
Honestly I'm kinda surprised to hear the wireless phone charger being a con to you and apparently many others.
How much did you pay for the tundra
70,585 was msrp, selling price was 63 and change
Hard to believe people are still buying the current Tundra knowing what we know about the unresolved major issues. Dealers won't even take them in trade.
What do you think i traded in?
@@TundraDude34gottem.
Trade in prices must have died with the the engine problems
Can you turn the engine noise off on the JBL sound system?
The service dept can and i believe there is something you can buy that will disable it
It can be turned off. Dealer turned it off in my platinum.
did you lease it ?
Yup!
What did you get in trade in?
42,000
@TundraDude34 that's good considering that in my area same truck goes for mid to high 30s
The retail value of my trade in was high 40s. It was the fully loaded SR5 TRD. Values range like crazy in SR5 because there are so many ways they can be optioned or base.
Did you lease or buy?
I’m a lease guy
@@TundraDude34 Thanks beautiful Truck !!!
My 2018 Double Cab has a lot more room in the back than yours did.
Yep, this is directed at new gen double cabs. 2nd gen d cabs had plenty of room
I owned a 2005 Tundra Double Cab Limited for 10yrs and had no issues with back seat room. My moon roof was also larger than my current 2016 Tundra Crewmax Limited.
@ronsteitz4535 please keep in mind, the first gen double cab is called crewmax in the 2nd and 3rd gen.
helluva truck...helluva price.
That made me want Heluva Good onion dip 😃
Don’t you love the 1794 for the interior? Chrome or no chrome isn’t a 1794 thing. Other Tundras have chrome 🤷♂️
There’s just something about the entire configuration that works together
This 1 week later review is equal to a long-term review. The engine did not blow up this week. Give us an update next week.

The big Con for me would be , when is my engine is going to spin a bearing! Thanks but No Thanks!
Thats why i never cross the street. Just as i get to the curb i say “wait, a bus might hit me!” and then i go back home.
JBL fake engine noises lmao what a joke
Can be shut off if you aren’t a fan
Thanks ESE but no need I drive a v8. Good luck with the future recalls! BTW the truck has beautiful seats well done
I’m hoping with your trade up the car payments aren’t higher than previously pd. used to for last year. Yourself you said it is above your means. 🫣 The extra toys come at a cost month after month. More subscribers will pick up the slack.👍
Without getting too personal, financially better off now than when i traded the Pro, so i’m all set 👍🏼
Interesting to hear that people are flashing you. I haven't run into that.
Maybe it was coincidence, but it was 3 vehicles on one ride
