So the person interviewing them is Chai Jidan? No wonder she was enjoying so much and also impressed by both the actors. Mainly Xubin for portraying GuHai with a hint of sweetness and innocence. GuHai is actually such a strong, ruthless character and to see it played this way, would have been so refreshing for her. and Jiong really played Bailouyin well. Fantastic casts they had, fr. I am just happy that her novel got an adaptation that ppl can have access to and who wouldn't love such an amazing plot. She deserves it. ❤️
Yup, this one is the script read through, but she was there, along with the director and some other staff. She cast Jiong Jiong first, then they went through a lot of ppl to find Xu bin. I'm so glad they did, because as you said, he portrayed Gu Hai so differently, it just made the drama even more adorable and likeable, and also different. And you can tell in the read through that everyone thought his spoilt/sweet character made it even more interesting/fun 😆

Yk you've portrayed a character good when you come up in ppl's head whenever they are reading the book. I just love hearing her enjoying with BinJiong, for instance "really, illiteracy" when Bin said his characters wrong. I mean the resemblance is uncanny. Back then, it was Johnny with thick northern accent and Timmy practicing lines with him and here, Jiong is correcting his characters and also he is comparatively calmer and has a "good student" side because he keeps signing the albums nonstop and there, Bin is lagging so much yet he is cool about it 😂😂😂. These behind the scenes make me so damn happy, Taoti, thank you so much. I cant wait for more! (this text is so long but i just have so much to say about them 🥹)
It's funny, bc CJD had posted on her Weibo in frustration that she couldn't find anyone suitable when she was casting the drama. Idk how she found Jiong Jiong, but we're so lucky she did! He's perfect for the role and he's such a talented actor. I could see how he actually transforms into Su Yu even when they're rehearsing, then suddenly he'll pop out this bright Jiong Jiong smile. I didn't know that about Johnny as I hadn't really watched the BTS for Addicted, but that's really interesting! Yup, the fact that Jiong Jiong and Xu bin are quite different makes it so fun to watch them! And they just seem to complement each other really well both onscreen and offscreen ❤️ I really hope we can keep watching more projects of them together 🥹

The fact that they adore Xu Bin's Wu Bi so much went straight to my heart❤ I'm sure while looking for Wu Bi they didn't expect how much sweeter the character will be :) It's upsetting that Xu Bin was worried about being replaced though, I think for this series they wouldn't exchange his Wu Bi interpretation for anything😂😅 Xu Bi is such a talented actor, he portrayed so well the girl's part❤❤ I am so grateful that this series even exists!!! He's played fire boy in a few of his vlogs and has been to Thailand a few times too (maybe for durian lol)
