Cool review, might reconsider More Feral Ghouls in my load order. Would have liked to see Skeletal Feral Ghouls, one of dpillari's earliest, more unknown works.
I partially agree. First of all, CoD zombies does have runners, which are fast as hell, and at high rounds, they're literally the only type of zombie chasing you down, so in order to make the rounds progressively harder, you do need faster zombies, unless you're playing Verruckt or similarly small cramped maps, you really won't have it that hard with walkers. Second, you can't compare Fallout 4 maps to CoD zombies maps dynamics, that's just absurd, F4 maps and environments are way larger, your character is usually way faster, and also you have way more tools for both movement and defense in Fallout 4 than you do in CoD Z. And last, I can tell you from experience, after trying out 90% of the mods displayed in this video, that Zombie Walkers in particular made it a walk in the park to slay zombies, I often found myself mowing down hordes consisting of more than 20 ghouls with just a Glock 19 or an SMG, no need for heavy weapons, machineguns, carbines, assault rifles, shotguns or even grenades, and no risk of getting caught since they were as fast as an 80 year old, it was easy as hell, I was never trapped either because unlike in CoD games, in which you can't jump over the obstacles 90% of the time, in Fallout 4 you definitely can always at the very least, get the high-ground. Pair this with the fact that you're by default faster than them, and you're left with a bunch of slow a-ss bags of meat that just work as FPS drainers which can turn places like Downtown Boston into literal PowerPoint slideshows. I mean, I personally think a combination of both slow and fast zombies works generally, but fast runners are definitely much better and fitting for a game like Fallout, and even in CoD, literally any game that isn't point and click and has the player move around needs fast creatures, otherwise its as easy as just backing away slowly and shooting at the target until you either eliminate it or run away because you ran out of bullets.
I have been enjoying your fallout 4 mod videos a whole lot. As someone who is eternally addicted to this game it's nice to see. Keep up the good work. How about a heavy weapons/rocket launcher video?
hi,i am using FGEP - Feral Ghouls Expansion Pack , with patches ,plus quantum and plutonium creatures(and patch),plus legendary apocalypse , and is really good. As a standalone you are right ,but you miss the potential ! hope in the future when you do mod battle , you will do mod packages battle ! keep it up( edit: is the one you recommended ,but i keep the text for other users and for mod packages battles!)
It is a pity that all the ferals look so cloned and don't come in a variety of outfits, sizes etc. I really like parts of the mods shown in your vid but I don't want my game to continually crash because I have to add extra patches etc just to make them work - thanks for sharing
Could someone PLZZ tell me how to get the zombie walkers Holo-tape to spawn or appear in the chem bench on PlayStation 4. I can’t find a single video, post, or article where anyone acknowledges the issue and discussion rather or not it’s fixable.
D.E.C.A.Y doesn't seem to work well with other mods but a lot of the other ones work pretty good together. Zombie walkers can be scary if you up their speed, numbers and let them use the attack that knocks you down.
I've been using the last one for a while now, the NV replacer. I just think that they look far far better than the default version. The lack of variety is relatively minor, considering that painted ghouls only show up in one park in Nuka World. Big fan of it. With that being said, the Ghoul Expansion looks incredible. I'm going to try that next playthrough. Nice! (Admittedly, I really do wish that they used NV style models as a basis, but you can't have everything.)
@@antonius.martinus yeah but that's not what the mods are doing. They're turning them into regular zombies like Resident Evil Walking Dead and making them walk slowly which is boring as hell
@captainfach Yeah, the slow walking mod is not for me. I actually did a sound replacement mod for Fallout 3's Feral ghouls, where I changed their sounds for zombie sounds from Left 4 Dead and Dying Light. People has commented that they like that it makes the encounters more intense
I actually was looking into this last month Ya there’s just not much variety out here for Ghouls. I personally just suffer with vanilla ghouls with Zombie Walkers At least I can get different vanilla ghouls to appear in new locations with that mod
I have really been enjoying D.E.C.A.Y. Redux, Feral Ghouls Expansion Pack, plus Horrorghouls soundpack. They all work together well in my recent playthroughs and require very few FO4Edit changes and conflict resolution. Also though I haven't personally used it I'm told More Feral Nights adds some of the Zombie Walker - type horde mechanics without making them all shufflers. Thanks so much for this and all your mod videos... sometimes the toughest part of modding is deciding which ones to try and which to try and avoid.
My recommended mod of choice ? = Zombie walkers I like my zombies old and slow like my machine topped off Feral Ghouls EX pack. All the others just bite
DECAY is good. Far better looking than the shit that came with the game. Plus you can cook them in some nice recipes. Taste like jerky. FGEP is awesome with the variations that it adds

Saw that one as well, never downloaded it until recently.
No love for Defective Synths? That's my favorite.
It isnt a replacer though technically
It used to have a replacer option! For some reason the mod author got rid of it.@@anthonyjohnstone695
adds 1 new enemy, very cool tho
@@anthonyjohnstone695 It used to have a replacer option! But it was removed for some reason...
1:24 you never played CoD Zombies
I was thinking the same. Massive hordes of slow, powerful ghouls beats a small group of sprinters any day of the week.

Bro only lasted 2 rounds of cod zombies 😭

Holy hell, the Ghouls chasing while on all 4's, wow.
Came here for the mods, stayed for the narration.
The classic ghouls and the expansion look so good try it
You can choose to keep the ghouls called feral ghouls with zombie walkers.

Plutonium creatures is such an under rated mod.

For the zombie walkers mod you can choose not just speed but how they move. You can set it so they run like normal ghouls
Why would anyone want to take fallouts unique take on zombies, and then turn them into regular boring zombies
Because Bethesda's version is boring as hell classic ghouls looked way bettter

I like slow ghouls because I feel like it’s about if there are enough to surround you
Awesome video dude, 😎👍👍
You are awesome, thank you for the video
There another Feral Ghoul mod call "Detailed Feral Ghouls"
I actually like more feral...
I’m still waiting for ghouls with triggerman outfits and prewar clothed ghouls
My recommended mod of choice ? = Zombie walkers I like my zombies old and slow like my machine topped off Feral Ghouls EX pack. All the others just bite
Amazing Video
Okay so if you didn’t even use zombie walkers to it’s max potential 😢it’s better when mixed with other zombie mods
Yeah he should have used fgep, zombie walkers, more feral ghouls, and the patch for fgep and more feral ghouls
Need more feral Ghouls. A zombie mod for Xbox.
DECAY is good. Far better looking than the shit that came with the game. Plus you can cook them in some nice recipes. Taste like jerky. FGEP is awesome with the variations that it adds
there are already way too many ghoul variations in fallout 4
7:50 lol what
I'm using fallout 3 feral ghouls with fallout 4 ghouls mod patch. Basically can have fallout 4 ghouls and fallout 3 ghouls.
