Great protips & will utilize 2 or 3 of these in my upcoming facilitating discussion lesson.
Here are the tips
1.Be Okay with Silence when asking a question.
2.Create a culture of preparedness on lessons so people
3. Prepare great questions beforehand and possibly write your favorite questions on the board.
4. Prepare for problems such as people talking for too long or getting off topic and how you could address that.
5. Set the stage “What Do I hope will be achieved from this lesson?” What are the biggest take aways?
6. Identify what will happen in the life of the learner and what actions you would like them to take.
7.Make to to invite the members to do something
8.Resist the urge to overprepare with a million notes that you read off.
9. Vary your methods of teaching. Teach in groups, with power points let people write things down etc.
