She is like goddess of layouts. I have read several articles and watched RUclips videos. She's just brilliant.

This is fabulous. I can't believe I'm 2 years behind in seeing this. I've certainly looked at the code behind Jen's site many times. Very effective rollout of information.

Very informative and inspiring about Grid Layouts in general. Wish that some of the Grid Code were more detailed.Approaches Web Design from a Graphic Design point of view. Important. Could have used a look at the CSS for Grids and Flexbox.

I think that Jen is brilliantly trying to inject into everyone's minds the conceptions of thinking out of the box, figuring out the methods of outdoing the best out of the platforms or mediums we design for or work with and yet, neither did the person responsible for exporting this valuable lecture into a video for RUclips nor did that other person accountable for uploading and sharing this video to RUclips, considered to utilise the tools, beyond ordinary, that this platform offers its users to publish and share their content in a respectable quality at the most suitable format. I'm not trying to be that bummer who points out all the imperfections, I simply find it slightly amusing, Jen is an inspiring person, advocating for adapting our workflow to achieve the best the platforms we work with provide, but whoever's responsible for producing this video, bearing her words of wisdom, failed to take into practice the very thing she's actually on about...

The "person" responsible for producing this video is not a person, it's an event. An Event Apart, google it. Now, as someone who spent some years producing and delivering live streaming talks and kicking out the on-demand content aftewards (which is what we see here), I'm interested in how you think the producer of this video could've altered it's delivery to take into practice whatt Jen was talking about. Not trolling, truly interested in what you think could've been done. Now, keep in mind, the camera, shoots the stage, the mixer blends in what's on screen, slides, etc... and yeah this is kind of the standard for how a live event is produced. After that, keep in mind, the video is hosted on RUclips, which of course, alreayd has the design frames laid out and the overall content managment system in place to include things like related video's on the right hand column and of course comments in the center under the video.
Given that, how would you expect a producer of this content, to act in any different fashion? It's not a web page they designed and put on a web server. So I'm not certain what you feel could've been done to better encompass Jen's vision (of web pages mind you).

Great talk. Would have been even better leaving the political signs out of it, so many other apolitical subjects to pick samples from other than BLM and Beto.
