As a lifelong Liverpool fan, I wouldn't hate Trent for leaving for a new challenge especially after already winning everything at Liverpool. How many of us at times seek a new challenge in our own lives/work life. I would however really hate for him to leave for free but even worse for Real Madrid considering our history with them in the UCL over the last 6/7 years. That would leave a bitter taste. If he is going to leave, I personally would much rather sell him and get at least something for him that can be reinvested into the team the way we did when Coutinho left for Barca. Either way, no player is ever bigger than the club. I also have complete faith in our ownership and leadership team. I don't believe the second caller is a Liverpool fan. All this stuff if we loose Salah or Trent or VVD and then Liverpool are finished. Trent has been injured this season and we were fine. Salah, and Mane thinking about it, were always off for some time for Africa cup and it never affected Liverpool. Only time really is when VVD was out were we in trouble.
