- Today I go thrifting at local Las Vegas thrift stores Goodwill and Salvation Army looking for items to resell online. I find fun items and fun people along the way. An employee confronts me about what I am doing with the item I am buying.

Hi Mikey! So sweet of u to clean up the store. I worked in in retail most of my life. Can’t tell you how many times I’ll find myself returning misplaced items to their spots without even thinking while out shopping.
The ice pads are for after child birth.

I quit donating to our 2 main thrift store chains due to the high prices, lack of quality and broken items. I donate to charities that actually use their profits to benefit community endeavors.

The Current "Beanie Baby" Fad (things that go down in value due to over production): Rae Dunn Pottery, Funko Pops, Marshmallow Plush (or squishy plush). And on and on. How long will these things last? Fads come and go. Over produced stuff, with very limited worth buying. Make the money while you can, I guess. I'd rather spend my $100 on ONE good thing, than on 10 cheap ones. Saves on all the packing and shipping if nothing else. Plus, I can find that ONE thing than track down 10 cheap ones.

Having birthed four 9 lb babies, I can tell you first hand that they are a wonderful invention! They numb up sore, uncomfortable stitches!!!!
11th like, hey mikey, im off friday, and took monday off from work. I went to goodwill tuesday,(July 30th) and found a boston celtics zip-up sweater for $10, and picked up a holister shirt with a leopard on it also for $10.

Our Goodwills in Ohio DO NOT have Discount colors or days. Just ridiculously high prices . It makes me not want to donate at all.
I live in Ohio too and I quit donating to GW years ago. When I found out how much the CEO makes and they raised all the prices. GW is a for profit store. That's like donating free stuff to Home Depot! They have a lot of good programs that help children and handicap people too but they're not scamming the customers. It's your choice to donate or not. I donate to a local Mennonite mission thrift store everything is used to help the needy and they even have an overseas ministry.
I live in Dayton, Ohio. Our Goodwills have a color half-price every day, then that color is 99 cents on Sunday. Wednesday is 10% off for seniors. Every week, at least one of our local Goodwills will have a popup sale 50% off the entire store, which we can sign up to get text alerts for. I still shop at Goodwill, but never donate to them. I donate to our St. Vincent store.

Hi Mikey, it's always fun to go along shopping with you. My Goodwill has brought back the $1.99 tag on Mondays. Thank goodness because that's one way I try to fight their high prices. Those little espresso pots were cute, hope they sell well for you

20 bucks for Ed Hardy used hat oh hell no.. and as for the shoes I have donated some really high dollar top quality thigh high boots that I just don't wear anymore I don't even wear my 300 pairs of Nikes anymore and I have at least five pair that never worn still brand new in the box after shit 8 years brand new Pure White three different styles of Air Force Ones.. since I live down here in Florida all I wear is stupid flip flops of course they're Gucci and Coach so they're still high dollar.. good luck on your hunting Ventures

Those cake pans would have sold! You pay $ 2.99 for a smoke detector that will sell for around $20.00, but won’t pay $ 2.99 to $ 4.99 for something that is worth $ 20.00 to $40.00? Some of those pans sell for good money. Your reasoning sometimes Mikey makes me giggle…😂
sometimes I wonder about myself 😂 but the pans would take up some space, not move quickly and I think I can find better bang for my bucks. The smoke detector is so easy to list, pack and it sells through good making it a nice bread and butter sale. Thank you for watching ❤

they are coming soon but I do have a playlist full of them if you have not checked them out yet
As economy collapses, many resellers will be able to get jobs managing thrift stores. We wouldn't be able to make a living fleecing these businesses if pricing managers had a clue.
Reseller needs to be careful of what you tell and looking up items in front of the sellers you are buying from. The reason why good will,salvation and some garage sales are going up on there prices because of resellers. Think about it!
People accuse these types of channels all the time of causing thrift stores to raise their prices, not sure if I agree but I do know that a pretty good percentage of their customers are reselling and if they continue to ask high prices they won't shop there anymore and they will eventually lose money only selling on half off and dollar days
