a bit supplemental(did i spell that right) those who are chosen to fly t38 or t6 trainers will have a chance to fly fighters after their instructor tour
Believe it or not, pilots are allowed to wear contacts/glasses as long as their vision is within a sufficient range, otherwise they’ll have to get lasik.
As their first assignment, they've been selected to instruct new pilots for the next 4 years. Once that assignment ends, they will fly an aircraft in their follow on assignment as a fighter pilot, mobility pilot or special operation pilot.
@@nextbestmedic6944idk how true this is but from what i read online and heard in person, you are most likely guaranteed to get a plane of your choosing after finishing your instructor assignment.
Did we do this in 69-05? No, I guess it’s something new. We just read our assignments off the board. There was a war on. You know, the same one Bud Day was shot down in.
anyone else binge watching these?
every night
*caught me in 4k*
Yup. Pretty terrible drop. Only 2 fighters.
@@thanojon1 watch ENJJPT drop nights and you won’t be disappointed
Just got picked up as a pilot. Absolutely stoked.
Can we acknowledge these pilots having the dopest walk up music.
I'm Army retired and love this.
Thank you much for loading this! ❤️
Mannn im just starting my fighter pilot journey, barely started college and i just love these videos
This is hundred much cooler than in Russia Air force. Its very informal. Viva guys!
I'm surprised how many of them don't recognize the aircraft type until it's written on screen. :D
It's not that they don't recognize the airplanes, they are waiting for the name of the base they are going to be stationed on!
@@superlupo16armin aaah that makes a lot more sense! 😅

If u get assigned to a T-6, what do u do? I mean what are T-6s’ used for?
The T-6 is used primarily as a trainer in the USAF so you'd be an instructor pilot
But if do you want a fighter jet like F16 or F15 and you get a T6 is not so depressing ? Can you reject the T6?
@@geremi9656I guess you can do transition to a fighter jet in later time.
T6? What are they used for?
Think it’s a trainer aircraft
They kept chanting “four more years” so basically they’re instructors
Joining the faip mafia lol
How does the F-22 have a T-pod? 51:13
Glasses in a Raptor?
Levels the playing field with enemy aircraft

@@snooproach8500 you sure about that. Oxygen and contact lenses don’t pair well.
@@bertraminc9412 their oxygen mask is normally snug to their face when flying.
@@snooproach8500 even though the manual says to wear them, they don’t. Oxygen on contact lenses is why they are not allowed.
What does the follow on assignment mean?
It means that’s the base they are going to after this assignment
As their first assignment, they've been selected to instruct new pilots for the next 4 years.

@@jchang2572 I was wondering why people got so excited for this assignment

Rest In Paradise Brock. He would be the last on the video.
I wonder if they are stuck with that plane forever or eventually get to use a different one
mostly yeah and if their unit switches aircraft or deactivates then they’ll have to adjust with that
Bro I would give up anything and move to Alaska go fly a raptor
Just goes to show how lucky you have to get to become a fighter pilot.
Bb that’s not how it works. Everyone flying heavies knew they wouldn’t get fighters, they wanted a heavy track.

Ok boomer
This might be the looser class. What planes are they even flying except for the f-16 dude
Obviously, if you come from T1 you are already from Heavies
One guy got a raptor
F22
