    It's unfortunate that most preachers take the easy way. It is not difficult to distinguish between a Christian and atheist worldview. The challenge to his congregation would be to discuss the other religious worldviews that believe in god and that heaven is their everlasting home.

    This topic is really important! ...but the outlined Christian worldview does not match a “biblical worldview“ where Heaven and Earth are not far apart but overlapping. Even the popular opinion that our Christian Hope ist to leave Earth behind and go to our eternal home in Heaven (an otherworldly afterlife place) is not really based on scripture. The ultimate goal is certainly New Creation (Heaven on Earth; combined). The Christian Hope then is the Resurrection of the Dead which Christ already attained. And we likewise will partake in a/his BODILY resurrection. This seems to be the overall biblical story (worldview) that what got infected and corrupted by sin (which leads to decay and death) will be ultimately reversed. This includes our WHOLE being (Spirit, Soul AND Body) and the WHOLE Creation (Heaven AND Earth) which will be set free from its bondage to decay. In the end, EARTH is our Home (renewed and married to Heaven of course) and it will not be destroyed but redeemed.

      Yoooo I had the same thought 😂! Lots of missing bits n piece here and there and not a whole lot is biblical. They need to remake this vídeos. Those statements are far from correct, because in a far end, "isnt it better to not believe in God, for there is not hell nor heaven? I mean come to the WEST, a protected nation where happy is what you get, a good life if you work hard.. who cares about heaven ?? No one knows what happens after death and if I believe in God which is all that religion stuff they do in the middle east killing each other for their Gods.... I'm just not going to believe."
      The video passed far away from speaking of the truth in the Christian/Non-christian worldview. Can almost be misleading, you see?

    At the 3:30 mark he said with a non christian world view there is no God. He needs to rephrase that. Many people do not have a christian world view that believe in God. They do not have the biblical God, but a false God. Maybe he should have said a non biblical view instead. The biblical view of God is the christian God. Otherwise he did a very good job. Sorry am not trying to be picky and please forgive me if I misunderstood what he was saying.

    This is NOT the ONLY worldview of Christians. There are other ways of understanding God, the world, salvation, and future of human species. This apologist is contrasting his view with the secularized society, not a multi-pluralistic culture where people are oppressed by oppression and the caste system. The book of Revelation in the Bible tells us that the future of human species is NOT heaven but the new earth. What this apologist says is more of a Hindu or Buddhist view of life. The world is a temporary place until we achieve Nirvana or Moksha!

    • @infinity4evr
      @infinity4evr 5 лет назад

      You do realize that God's kids will be in heaven for a 1000 years before the earth is redone, right? To speak of the new earth is premature. We're not even in heaven yet. All things in order and step by step.

  • @rcconklin9621
    @rcconklin9621 8 лет назад +7

    You have every right to peacefully present your worldview, but you do not have a right to misrepresent those who have other beliefs. Within Christian apologetics there is a line of reasoning that says there is evidence for faith. This works as long as you get do define what is evidence. A scientist deals in evidence which can measured. There is no way to measure supernatural gods.
    By definition an atheist is one who lacks a belief in the existence of gods. Lack of belief is not a faith and atheists do not claim a worldview. For a non-supernatural worldview I would direct you to philosophical naturalism.
    Finally, as you say, I am of this earth. Earth is my home and I resent your caricature of my life as being shallow.

    • @freeloadx3

    • @mikea.3972
      @mikea.3972 7 лет назад +1

      Indeed, that is the technical definition of atheism, I wasn't disputing that. However, everyone holds to a worldview and more than likely, atheists would hold to some sort of materialistic (materials are all that exist) or humanistic (humans set their own destiny, etc.) worldview.

    • @freeloadx3
      @freeloadx3 7 лет назад +1

      Mike Abel yes you are right science cannot prove anything to 100% certainty but it's damn very close and the thing I like about science is that it searches for evidence to prove a hypothesis not like religion religion uses faith to believe in a God not evidence

    • @freeloadx3
      @freeloadx3 7 лет назад

      Mike Abel yes I agree with you that atheists do hold that type of worldview and you're right if there is no evidence we will not believe not until then

  • @user-xp4sn1xq9i
    @user-xp4sn1xq9i 8 лет назад +13

    Belief in the Big Bang or evolution is not based on faith, it's based on corroborated evidence across several scientific fields (cosmology, biology, physics, etc.).
    I can't speak for all atheists but my sense of accountability is strongly tied to my values and the respect I have for other people, not the prize/punishment of heaven/hell. You're right I am here to be happy, not necessarily holy; to be happy myself and to contribute to the happiness of others.
    This is not even close to shallow, short-term thinking. Our life now is the one we know for sure we that we have and because of that worldview I have significantly more respect and appreciation for life on this planet than many who think they're guaranteed to live forever.
    You're doing your part to make the world a better place in the areas you believe are most important and I respect that. You're free to think we're misguided but you're flat out wrong to think that our worldview leads to a shallow, selfish, short-term, unfulfilling life.

    • @mikea.3972
      @mikea.3972 7 лет назад

      Evidence can be interpreted in multiple ways and a person's worldview is the factor by which said evidence is interpreted.
      Also, I'm curious as to what motivates you to want to add to the happiness of others. It is indeed noble thinking, but I wonder what the basis is for such noble thinking. I think you would agree that there are people who care nothing for the happiness of others, would you say that those people are wrong to think that way?

      Scott Nelson there is very clear evidence for a designer and creation, you may have just met one of the many Christians who give our faith a bad name. I would suggest searching for evidence for Christianity on RUclips. A great example of this is a flagella, a body part used by some microorganisms to move, which has several parts that cannot work without each other thus creating a bit ofa problem for evolutionists. Darwin himself doubted his own theory.

    • @movadoband

      We can see the Golden ratio everywhere in nature, and that means intelligent design...there is no evidence for the theories of evolution of the big bang, those are faith based belief systems just like the worlds religious beliefs that we are the product of an intelligent designer...we do not distinguish between "Scientism" and the scientific method of discovery anymore so many people "assume" that Scientisms beliefs are based on evidence, I'm willing to go through them one at a time and share my findings with anyone who has questions.

    1. "Christian worldview" is a mix of Jewish & Greco-Roman pagan thought.2. Christian's often Take credit for astronomical discoveries & scientific advances (some of which were taken from other civilizations or discovered simultaneously by Muslims).3. Many of the great musicians like Mozart & Beethoven were not very pious Christians e.g. Mozart was a FreeMason & the Church Rejected Galileo's science much like conservative Christians reject modern science today such as Climate Change4. If Conservative Christians want their Culture & Religion to be credited for Western Science Then They need to Accept Blame for Darwin's Evolution! Darwin grew up in Christian England in a Conservative Christian family and was even going to be a Minister. And Thomas Malthus was an Anglican Minister who first Proposed the "OverPopulation Theory" and suggested Population Control! These 2 ideas put together led to Social Darwinism in Germany and elsewhere to Weed out those unfit & sought to Control the increasing population. I recently heard an Episcopalian Minister say at a Jewish-Christian meeting that "Christians are guilty as charged...Cultural Christianity is responsible for the Holocaust."

    sin which your God created if your God created the universe that means he created sin too,and is it true that your God knew fore hand that if he would put the tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden that eve would eat from it and create sin your God knew this and he did it any way what a cruel God you people worship

    • @mikea.3972
      @mikea.3972 7 лет назад

      Sin is disobedience. Indeed, God gives all people the ability to choose to obey or disobey. If God never permitted people to make the choice to obey or disobey instead ensuring that nobody ever disobeyed, then we would be nothing more than robots. Therefore, God allowed sin to happen because he allows people to make choices. This choice is manifest in the account of Adam and Eve as you pointed out.

    • @freeloadx3
      @freeloadx3 7 лет назад

      Mike Abel look let me put it this way if you have children would you put a loaded gun on the kitchen table and sit there and see want choice will your children make ?

    • @mikea.3972
      @mikea.3972 7 лет назад

      The only way that God could have prevented his children from disobeying Him would have been if he took away their ability to choose.
      I'm sure i won't do justice to this here in the comment sections of RUclips, but here goes.
      Free will leads to choice, choice leads to sin, sin leads to consequences (separation from God), separation from God leads to Jesus, Jesus leads to redemption (restoration with God).
      If you took away the free will at the beginning then, nothing else would follow. I suppose people would then not be separated from God, but they also would be no different than robots, obeying because they are compelled to, not because they want to.
      The loaded gun analogy falls apart because it represents a scenario where the story ends at the choice. There is no redemption in that scenario.

    • @freeloadx3
      @freeloadx3 7 лет назад

      Mike Abel look your God could still give free will with out him creating sin there was no reason for him to put the tree of knowledge in the garden but for his amusement there is no excuse for him to do that

    Christian world view
    Christians have the world view that excludes everyone who is not under the blanket of Christ's forgiveness of sins as not in the family, and not of God. and I don't agree with that. I believe Elohim created everyone - and is there for everyone - and wants everyone to be in alignment with them. and the way to be in alignment with them is to be conscientiously attuned to them, talk to them, prayer. And I also believe in Jesus. I believe Jesus is great. and I attune to Jesus in my heart when I see that my ways have been selfish, and I see that my ways have not been an expression of the light and love and friendship of Elohim. So i am growing with you all. BAREISHIT BARA ELOHIM. Our good nature to be friendly, aware and loving is the nature of Elohim. We are in their image.
    Scripture is what we use as science. And our own experience (of growing with Elohim and Yeshua, and the Heavenly Father of Love) is the evidence we have that proves the scripture (or Torah) true in our case. Those who talk to God and ask Him to inspire them do grow in wisdom and love. This is actual science. This is real life and a real foundation for really growing in real life.
