The steps you mention to avoid falling in scam of digital arrest is not just valid there but most of modern life's "fake stress" causing situations.. in short there are multiple ways people are getting " scamed", just bit small to confess even if one realises 😊
I almost fall for Digital arrest last month. Scammer called me saying he is inspector from Mumbai. A car is registered in my name hit somebody. I denied its not my car. I'm not from Mumbai. He asked me my addhar Number. I believed him and gave him my addhar number. He gave me details of car and wanted me to say those description. Somehow I managed to resist. I can't believe I almost fell for this Digital arrest. Now I have stopped picking up any unknown calls. Whatever happened to me was scary. I was worried for so many days.
