That play by Johnson in the prelim to get the try assist to Brown and seal the game, that is one of my all time highlights I've ever seen. I'm a diehard manly fan and watching that got me excited and nervous for the Grand Final.
Clearly was one of the greatest things to happen to the Warriors franchise. It's a shame they pushed him out, as he's only gone on to Coach other outfits into consistent finals contention.
Imagine if he didn't leave. Nathan would surely be the warrior half and SJ could play his natural game. Nathan was a warrior ball boy and was never seen out of his warrior merch. How good would that be

League is not big in nz, however, its massive in Auckland. Nzers hold league as a way their kids can make the nrl, outside of Aux its hardly played but a few good players outside Aux.

Because we lost Maloney and cleary and lost our good players from age and better offers so they took the better deals so that's why warriors haven't been to a final for 8 years
That's why this year is so exciting, but it sucks we have panthers who are a level above everyone & broncos are are having a very strong season. But the boys are looking a bit off the last two games. So hopefully they'll show their muscle and prove why we're 3rd this year

SJ should never have been made the halfback. Kevin Locke should've been the halfback. Locke had the footy smarts and was a natural fit for the 7 role. SJ should've been 3, 4 or 1.
The thing about the Warriors in the finals that got to me that year, was apart from the Storms, the Tigers were in red hot form to beat Manly (not a Tigers fan) and they get knocked out by a fluke or a try from Inu late in the game.. and if memory serves me correct the Tigers hadn't done much wrong that game to loss against the Warriors in the end, if Warriors went on to beat Manly I wouldn't of cared so much but we all know how the story ended

Good video, I was at the semi final they won in Melbourne. NZ warriors haved sucked ever since they lost Ivan Cleary as coach. Combined that with shady NRL refs, NRL administration using NZTV rights as a personal ATM for decades. Covid means Warriors and the National side the Kiwi's haven't had any games in the country for 2 years. Rugby League in NZ has only had park footy to offer while professional super rugby union and international Union has continued to be played in NZ.
Most poorly run club ever, how do you have 3 teams in the finals (u20 nsw cup and nrl premiership) and some how the next 10 years produce nothing but consistent shit!! Surely a top 8 finish more than once isn't asking much
