- Concertmaster Liviu Prunaru on Jean Sibelius’s Violin Concerto. When did he first play this difficult piece? Enjoy violinist Liviu Prunaru in conversation with principal double bass player Dominic Seldis.
Liviu is such a pure, kind and sweet person. He is plum like his name! ❤ I can feel it from his interview and his playing too.
Fantastic Interview!!
great interview! i've been a big fan of Liviu for years. he's been so generous with posting his performances on youtube.
The Icelandic winner of the competition he refers to (whose name he cannot remember), where he won the silver medal, is Judith Ingolfsson.
Watching and listening to concerts masters from Berlin , Wien etc , they look like students near Liviu Prunaru . Way too many “renowned“ new generation soloists like ray chan don’t even dream to play this level . He is Elite level , right there near Zuckermann, Zimmerman , Shaham, Vengerov , Hilary Hahn and others
Great series of interviews.... merci-thank you- danke schön-dankjewel both of you!
thank you. cant wait for the livestream!!
Thanks🌺
Thank you si much for this!!
Great content!
Very interesting video! He talks about the choice between sports and music...I was one of 3 brothers and I chose music, although I was very sporty, and my brothers chose sports, although they were very musical. Ultimately, I am still playing music every day and getting the same enjoyment out of it as when I was 9, but I can only watch sports on TV because my body is getting older. His comment about Alberto Lysy is also very interesting - in Menuhin's autobiography, Unfinished Journey, he talks about his first meeting with Lysy and how much impact they had on each other.
Bad hair day.. 🎻
