1:02 No! Base is on the left, Emitter on the right, Collector on top. You got B and E in reverse. How can we trust you know what you re doing for the rest of the video??
This video (at least the first part) is incorrect. check the pinout of a smd transistor. also, pretty sure those are dual diodes, not transistors.
Hello sir, does this test include all types of transistors (MOSFET, diodes) or is it only for regular transistors?❤
Thank you!
You're welcome!
perfect video, i need your opinion in a tower case hp, when i power on it keeps restarting over and over, what would like to be the hardware problem?
Pls create video of cheking digital transistor like dta114 etc etc
At 3'26", I think you misspoke ... as in other videos you stated that BE>BC, but in this video you said BC>BE. No worries, but might confuse some. Did me.
As a beginner learning how to tell the difference, his videos have been messing me up. He constantly changes base and emitter and throws me off.
Thank you
Learned lot of think thank you so mutch 👍👍👍
My pleasure
Very good and informative video thank you
So nice of you
Hello is there a 12 volts of that kind of transistors in laptop mother Board?
This doide not transistor , you can see name of it in motherboard like D383 , and transistor name of it in mother begin with q like Q231 for exemple.
Hi there,
Right, but not always.
I will give an example:
"Q" refers to transistor or MOSFET
"U" for IC (integrated circuit).
"D" for Diode. right.
but sometimes you can find "U" refer to MOSFET and "D" refer to Transistor.
Thank you
but then , you will be confused in diagnose problem in motherboard.
@@electronicsrepairbasics_erb I know this is old, but according to the datasheet it's a dual diode. also, your pinout for a smd transistor is incorrect.
im talking about my keyboard, so in the other key that is working the transistor when i swap it it still got higher , but when i swap the broken one it doesnt give any volt at all
Resp Sir! Very Nice Class Sir. Red Brobe Center Pole, Black Probe Emitor or Collector Visual the Value NPN, Black Probe Center Pin and Red Probe is E and C Pins Show the Value is PNP Sir. Sir Some Scintists Different Talk Sir. Very Very Confused Sir. Sir 100 Times Somany Times See Ur Class Sir. But I am Confused Sir. -- ChinnaRao Paderu Andhrapradesh
sir... first those are diodes that you are testing ... and second in a transistor the leg with a lower reading is always the collector.
What if it just keeps showing 1? I'm testing a RT1P441C. I can't get any measurements at all.
Perfect. Video was exactly what I was looking for. Now all I have to do is to figure out current and voltage ratings I need in a replacement part :)
(I think...)
Glad it helped
i can realy see what points to test ( not ) from backside of the board ...
The pin out is wrongly shown the base is on the left pin !!
Why is the collector value higher than the emitter value?
Awsome question,
Due to type of junction
