If you could also test emulation that would be great. A lot of people are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Lenovo Y700 which is capable especially for Gamecube and PS2. There have been issues reported for this model for GC emulation using Dolphin. Can you confirm/deny?
I can confirm. Received mine 2 days ago. Ps2 works surpizingly well to me. Not perfect, but pretty good in the games i tried. Gamecube/wii is a bit of mixed bag. It certainly is able to do gc/wii but for some games it starts to stutter really hard, like that slideshow thing, but once i resatrt the game it plays fine, so i guess its something with the cache. I noticed that on ssbb and mario galaxy. Tested on the newest stable release of dolphin from their website.
Yeah dolphin has a cache issue for some reason on sd 6 gen 1 (same soc and ram on my phone. If you encounter this problem just restart the game and it will run fine) I got halo 1 and oblivion running on Winlatorfrost and WinlatorMali and turnip drivers are in production.
@@TheAngelobarker is there a place to follow the turnip driver progress that you can share? I believe I read somewhere that there is no current driver for the SD6Gen1 chipset yet. Thanks!
My understanding, maybe someone can confirm, the lack of WiFi6 is a hardware omission and not something that could be tinkered with and updated with a firmware update or hack. Seeing the chipset is capable, I was a bit confused. Seems like cost saving would have been at a hardware level and not a software implementation. Thanks for the review. Pluses outweigh the minuses on this one for my use case.
I'm a little disappointed with mine. I ordered it right away when it was on a deep sale because I knew the chipset was capable of 6ghz WiFi (which is important for game streaming when you live in an apartment). They didnt have that info listed at the time, as they do now. I decided to keep it for the price I paid anyways after my initial disappointment. I do like the screen and that it has HDMI out.
@@jayjayhooksch1 okay thank you, how does the latency feel based on eye test though? like a 10-20ms delay maybe? Im also very interested in this tablet but I havent seen anyone go through the trouble of using it with moonlight and optimizing the decoding latency
@@lylewarren4391 I can feel the latency when playing during the day, not enjoyable. But at night it's playable, enjoyable but not perfect. I'm guessing there is less congestion on the standard bands in my apartment building at night. I can compare because I have a tri band router, and performance is noticeably better during the day on 6ghz wifi on my pixel 6 where it is playable day or night (but the screen is too small).
I got the same model. Do you update the google play system ? I keep getting a warning that the device hasn't had a system update in 12 months. I install the update, and then everything repeats. Does any one know how to resolve?
I bought it a was playing fortnite to 45fps and down graphics, runs well, I was palying it on medium to 60 fps wifi 5ghz and ps4 bluetooth controler, it gets pretty hot but runs well too, once it turned itself off or got itself restarted but rus good ofcourse with fortnite or genshin the battery goes down fast, here my contribution from peru
I guess it really comes down to usecase. I really dont need celular on this and i prefer a snapdragon chipset. So far i really like it for the price i got it. Only downside so far is dolphin for me. Else i wouldnt expect more from a tablet which is cheaper than most handhelds with android on them
@@ZwaetschgeRaeuber is it too laggy on dolphin? some people are saying it runs better if u install android 13 on it😅 apparently they did not optimize it for android 14 yet and just kinda slapped it on I guess?
Hello, thank you for your review. May I just ask, does this tablet support multiwindow side by side? I saw some review saying the Pro can do that but Turbo can't. Is it true? I'm contemplating between both. Honestly I don't need the SIM support but I kinda need having multiwindow support. But CPU wise, getting Snapdragon one than the Helio G99 seems like a better choice.

Whoah! What happened to cheap tablets? Up until recently, all budget android tablets were hobbled by 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Now suddenly we're seeing all these cheap tablets with 8, 12, 16GB? Did RAM suddenly get super cheap or something?

OS update schedule? Samsung tablet selling point is they provide 3 to 5 years of OS update, and tab A9 is about $120 for 4G ram, $180 for 8G ram.

Mine just shipped.
Yep cellular is the main selling point. This is a great option for gaming focused buyers. I can do without the cameras and add a fingerprint sensor.
I would like to see a tablet company remove the cameras and solely focus on making the best budget gaming tablet. Even better than this if possible
I don't know why they put cameras on these... just a waste that increases cost.
