I find Bing confusing. Is a night time Bing strengthened by another Bing in the heavenly stem? Or is that just doubly bad because two weak Bings competing?

Competing Bings is not considered ideal yes but depends on position of Bing no2. If Bing no 2 is on stem, that is not ideal. But a great point - look out for the video.
