    This video should be linked in the shop manual for clutch removal. Cannot thank you enough. Paired with the manual it has saved me alot of heartache.

    I'm looking to replace my primary chain and your video actually helped me a lot.
    I'm really surprised to see that the 850 doesn't have a tensioner

      @@sixfive0cycle Hi sir, I'm back for some help. those hex bolts holding the cover are really tight, I'm afraid of one of them snapping inside. Did you encounter the same problem? what do you suggest to do to help loosen those? I have already soaked then with WD-40.

    • @sixfive0cycle
      @sixfive0cycle  Год назад

      @@papercut1987 I did not have that problem. It can be tricky getting a bolt out that is seemingly stuck. You can try PB blaster, a little better than WD in this situation. May want to put some heat on the bolt, put pressure on it both ways to try and loosen what's stuck. Good luck!

    Great video, 'tab-washer' is the locking plate folded round the nut.

    I’m currently trying to get my flywheel off correct me if im wrong but I need a bolt that fits the outer threads not the original bolt from the inside holding it on I made a cylinder to fit around the original bolt to press against but it didn’t work What size are you using?

      Here is a link to the one I bought on ebay. It give some dimensions so you may be able to figure out a bolt that would work as well.

    What did you use to get your clutch basket nut off?

  • @jackjohnson769
    @jackjohnson769 3 года назад +1

    Thanks for the step by step. Always helps so much to see what you're getting into before hand.
    Are there no gaskets on either of those covers, or did you just gloss over that part?

    • @sixfive0cycle
      @sixfive0cycle  3 года назад +1

      The large cover needs a gasket. Mine was still in good condition so I didn't replace it. There is an oil seal for the magneto shaft so I don't believe that one gets a gasket.

      The deep clutch nut was just a simple lefty loosey to get off?

    • @sixfive0cycle
      @sixfive0cycle  3 года назад +1

      @@hotshow2 the basket nut is yes, it does have a washer behind it that is crimped around it to hold it in place. Its awkward to get to but do able.

    Is there supposed to be a washer after the first snap ring the parts manual shows that there is one but I don't see one in the video or on mine.

      If you have one put it on. I can't honestly remember if there was one, sorry.

    I was thinking the clutch was going to be on the left side of the engine.
