Welcome back to Lovebites ! The band recently confirmed they'll be performing next March (2025) at 🇲🇽TITANS OF METAL FEST in Mexico. As such, they might expand that into a Latin American tour/perhaps another US tour, so watch this space.
They didn't play enough shows in the USA. But I know they were testing the waters in a new market. Also: the USA does not make it easy for outside artists to play shows in the USA. Which really sucks. 😒
@@TheCyberMantisArtist visas alone were $1600 per person but from what I heard, the ProgPower promoter picked up the tab for those.
@@TheCyberMantis Once they analyze all the info from the just ended tour, they'll be able to optimize the logistical, operational and resource deployment aspects for the next tour. For example, they probably won't want Miyako to double up as the only tech/engineer for some their shows again. Apparently she lost around 6 kgs because of the added stress.
@@boyzyu Yeah, no reason for them not to travel with dedicated techs. The band shouldn't be doing the tech stuff. Also: Miyako needs a keyboard on stage. Fans want to see her playing the keys. Even if it's just a keytar for a couple of songs.

I saw Lovebites in LA, leaning against the stage on Midori's side. I had seen them before at the rail in Japan, but this venue didn’t even have one. You could have wrapped your arm around her if you had wanted to. They’re too big to do a meet-and-greet in Japan, but they did one here, so you could take a picture right next to Midori if you wanted to. The concert was sold out, so they should be back here again.🤘
This is BEAUTIFUL YOUNG bass player FAMI, not Miho. FAMI is another level.
I was lucky to see them in L. A. and Midori was a total badass that night. The concert is a whole different experience than watching them on DVD. I also got Midori's guitar pick.
Asami took Ballet lessons from age 2 to 18. After Highschool, she moved to the US to take jazz and hip hop dancing. After moving back to Japan she discovered that @ 4'10" she was considered 'too short' to be a dancer. So, she started singing R&B in clubs and as a backup singer with a popular Pop band, which included a performance @ Budokan. Having done no Metal singing EVER, she auditioned with Bites for vocals, singing Halestorm's Love Bites (and so do I). They liked her voice so much that they changed the band name from Powerslaves to Lovebites.
I agree with you about Asami's stage presence. She's very classy. Love her stage presence. That headbang in Shadowmaker appears to be choreographed, or at least something they fell into and do all the time now. She was right in front of me in the SF show and it came up and I got to headbang with her (in her Asami way lol) and she had a huge grin and winked at me afterwards. Her crowd engagement is amazing. I too enjoy these fan cams. I have all the Blu-rays but these fan cams show all these little moments you'd see as if you were at the show, like you say. I watched them all for this tour as they got closer and closer to LA and SF where I'd be seeing them. What a show they put on! They're better live than even the blu-rays can really capture. I hope they come back next year!
The head banging was a result of them unintentionally doing the same movement while they were playing, and since then they have consciously tried to match their movements because it's “fun”.

Thank you for your reaction. Just a small correction. asami trained in ballet from a young age in Japan.
She is 148 cm tall, and her height stopped growing.
She was told she could only play children's roles in ballet performances, which led to her feeling discouraged.
So, she decided to study modern dance instead of ballet and went to study abroad in LA (actually in San Diego).
It seems that her study abroad lasted for about a year, and during that time, she had the chance to sing the U.S. national anthem at a sports event.
This experience led her to pursue a career in music.
In their 2023 live of "Rising" Fami also looked quite serious. We can only speculate on why.

Tried to record this in Dallas, the guitar intro is super clear and clean...however...as soon as Fami and Haruna kicked in they destroyed my phone!! It's really cool you can actually see how the glorious and brutal sound wave distorts my camera lens. Can't wait for them to come back!!🤘🤘🤘
I'm sorry you missed the Atlanta show. There was concern, as Asami missed the autograph session early that afternoon, and confirmed afterward in an apology that she was not feeling well and had to rest for the show. Let me testify that when she hit the stage, we got the very best from Asami! The show was superb and the band was precise as usual, playing 16 songs. Asami laid all worries to rest with superb pitch and sustain on the most difficult songs throughout the night. Miyako, Haruna, Fami and Midori were super sweet and kind, signing a custom banner I now have on my wall. LOVEBITES!!!

Ok, just watched 2 videos from San Francisco 3 days ago, first one (Set The World On Fire) she also was so serious but second (Raise Some Hell) she was again smiling and making some fun .. good to see.
Don't worry one bit. In Atanta I thought her face was going to crack open she was smiling so hard! She will reign it in to match the mood of the song at times, (but she can't hold a serious face too long!)
Surprising reaction choice. Lovebites has a lot of new songs and videos in last few months, but you choose a live in Korea of a song you already heard, with poor quality. What was the idea in this?
