Hit the nail on the head here Sam. The story you told at the start of questioning yourself when a person of authority has a different opinion ! I so relate to that! with a spiritual teaching of mine that I respect - we just see things different on a lot of topics. This gives me so much peace and helps me make a little more space for others ❤️

there are so many topics where I realize I don't know, I am not in the know, so why form an opinion? a thing i've learned years ago in a sales training, "let's agree to disagree and isolate". There are so many things people argue about, and for the sake of what? A thing I've taught my children, when people try to pull you into an argument, ask yourself: Do I want to be right, do I want to be ahppy, or am I just looking forward to having a great big argument? Enjoying the experience of arguing

Thanks Sam, great critical thinking examples. Its so liberating to say I dont know enough, whenever the mind gets stuck on a subject. Also most things are both not our responsibility and probably not relevant for our life. Open head ease 101. Deep insights projector life, I appreciate your shares

okay very long comment, but i want to thank you for your perspective first of all and your videos in general, and i write this reply with my thoughts aswell, as someone with their own perspective
and sorry for deleting and recommenting. i deleted this because i felt bad for the first following paragraph i wrote, because actually this topic is really hard and i am aware of how emotionally taxing and depressing the social media landscape is, so thats my bad, it's ignorant of me to talk like things are that simple. but i'll leave it anyways. thanks for reading if you do :)
when it comes to topics that are important enough for most people to think that you need to have a side for it, there is usually a reason for that in my experience and regards important things, or at least something a group of people deem valuable.
as someone who has a personal view aswell, i think when it comes to things like human rights and peoples lives and worthiness of living and stuff like that, that no one should be blissfully ignorant to the perspective of those whose lives are opressed from a life one is benefitting on (even indirectly) for example. the only place i can think of, where people will want you to pick a side that i can think of is political, which ties into the rights of others.
now it really depends in my opinion also the extremeness of the situation. i think a balance is good. a balance of awareness and empathy, seeing others as humans instead of statistics, but also empathy for oneself and being aware of how much and how much not one can help in certain arenas. i think sometimes when people are tunnel visioned and either forceful or passionately ignorant , it regards a lack of humanity and empathy on any side of the spectrum towards the people they are adressing/being adressed from, a sense of survival and decaying that maybe reflects on the state of the social structures,
like how less people come to feel uncomfortable unconditionally supporting one another as a community because most people are so focused on survival and taking care of themselves in a western society , from what ive learnt from other peoples analytical essay videos and living in the west.
but thats just my personal perspective. i wonder what kind of topics that people talk about on your feed with this need for people to pick a side. it just personally made sense in my eyes that it would be political, but i could be wrong.
and also, besides, i think some people are more well versed in different topics compared to others. i think thats okay for the most part. everyone can bring wisdom and humanity to different arenas, while they might be unable to do so as well in others. isn't that a part of being human? we all have our own story, and writing this made me realize how important empathy is. those who know better can enlighten others on what theyre good at. the world we live in is multi fascited and diverse, so it makes sense that some people aren't innitially aligned with some perspectives.
these are my nuanced thoughts as a 40/37 (35/5) incarnation cross and 5/1 profile.
from the ahumandesign website, here is a copy and paste sentence from the website (and btw, i didn't even think about my incarnation cross and profile at all when writing this comment it's crazy):
the 37-40 Channel in Human Design, often referred to as the Channel of Community, embodies the spirit of connection, support, and emotional investment in communal affairs.
it's interesting, because innitially, my pov in my mind didnt give off the association of the word "personal perspective", but actually, having the incarnation cross and the energy placements i have, it is a very personal perspective, albeit having the "5" line on my profile

I'm a personal perspective tone 5, how does the 5 work in this view? and Yes, I'm too personal in my perspectives, I almost never agree with others and I'm pretty much fine with it lol

This broader perspective keeps getting me called a conspiracy theorist a lot lately 😊
Also, I am Aquarius with alot of air in my charts and my brain is often in the future.
I have to remind myself to stay in the present moment simultaneously.
