This is a great video. I clicked this expecting bodycam footage then realised you must have dismounted/remounted the bike hundreds of times to reposition the camera for an ever better third person perspective. This makes me want to get back out to Lysty after lockdown and beat my best time.
Thanks for the video. Looks so dry compared to at the moment. It must take you a long time to set up the camera, take the shot, and then go back and pick up the camera. Maybe you should consider a harness to hold a camera on your body. Would love to see some of your riding like this. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers
Thanks. It's weird to see the dust now! This way does take a long time but it gives it a very different look. I have tested a number of POV cameras and mounts but I made the choice not to use them for this one. I'm always working on something!
Thanks bud! It feels good to finally get it out in the wild. It's weird seeing dusty trails in this!! Ironically I was only riding at most a couple of km at a time while filming in the dry!
Best video about mtb at Lysty. Keep it up!
Cheers. Glad to hear people are diggin' it!

Thanks! I wanted a different look so it needed a lot of shots to get it done. Lots of stopping and starting!
Great filming. Nice work!
Thank you very much!
Great video. Hope you do one on Plenty Gorge.
Thanks. I’m working on a few projects but I’m keen to get back to new episodes.
Great to watch the all the trail sections, I recognize some bits. You must have ridden this place over 100 times.
Excellent video mate. I really enjoyed that 👌
Cheers. I enjoyed making it!
Beautiful story telling and great b-roll. Great video.
Thanks for checking it out. Not many bad days on bikes!
That's awesome filmwork Derek. Love the subtle use of the fish eye lens. Lysty looks awesome.
Thanks mate. Love the view on the fish! It’s been good to remember the dry trails!
Put in the hard yards for this one mate. But was worth it, great video.
Thank You. 🤘🏼

Great vid mate - well done, nice to see someone put some effort in to producing a video about our local trails.
Thank you. It was a lot of work but I think it came up well.
Love it!

Nice work! Takes a lot of effort to put that together solo!
Thanks. Lots of work but the fun kind!
Awesome vid Derek!
Thanks mate. It was fun to put together.
