It's even mentioned that Kyoko and Ren seems similar, not just in acting talent. Kyoko and Ren feel more like kindred spirits than when she is with Sho.

I’m reading Skip Beat, I’m on manga 22 rn! So I decided to watch the anime until manga 23 comes in the mail and I’m so sad there’s no season 2! The manga is immaculate and the anime is surprisingly so good 😭 I still have hope, they’ve rebooted and given second seasons to animes 10yrs+ ago, so I wanna stay positive 🙃
There was no season 2 because the anime was close to the manga, which was still ongoing and would be finished when the manga was finished, which would be a long wait.

Manga is better and it have so much progress like Physical touches between the characters and there are gonna be more male characters falling for kyoko but ren and kyoko already confessed and they even said that they will make it official after when they achieve their goals and the manga is also gonna make you cry so go and read it Pov everybody re-reads this manga again and again even I rereaded it like 15 to 20 times in 3 to 4 months but never ever got bored of reading this manga
i dont care anymore if they make a season 2... but all i wish for is that they animate the that damn cliffhanger from the update.... i need to hear tsuruga ren say those words with dub and animation...
If you think about it sho and kyoko relationship is really simliar to Stockholm she was forced to live with them and the only person who seem to care was sho so she became dependent on him then started to see him as loving her (when everyone else knows he doesnt at the beginning) and the fact that him leaving her alone and as a maid and him leaving when she upsets him is his way of punishing her, her need to make him feel better about himself and make sure he knows she doesnt like ren as tho one word and she will be locked away from everyone she doesnt have a social life then only thing he didnt do on purpose is cut her off from anyone who cares about her (he didnt need to) only thing missing is her saying how its her fault he like this
