    Thanks! I think you might have unlocked a service mode that uses default charging parameters (around 1 C for the I-PACE). That would also explain the 93% cutoff that we've seen with other LG battery EVs using those cells.

      @Everythingevs  Месяц назад +2

      Yeah, these LG cells (Bolt, I-Pace, Kona and a few others) don’t like high C-Rates. Typically the I-Pace drops to around 80kW (.9 C) around 10-20% SOC and hold that pretty deep. Nearly identical C-Rate as the Bolt. Kona holds 1C longer than the others typically do. And of course, all of these models have had or currently have battery recalls.

    Would be nice to see a test without the hazards, same station and same %

      This charging test video was filmed the previous day on the exact same station and cable.

      H441 was completed a while back. Have also had a pack module replaced.

    I got 106kW a week ago at 30% without hazards ON and it kept that rate for above 50% SOH, the battery was warm outside was hot, no cooling was ON, the fan was OFF all the time while charging.

      That’s awesome that you’re able to get and hold those speeds when charging normally. Typically, the I-Pace drops down to 80kW around 10-20% SOC and hold there for a long while. Have you had to have any modules replaced in your HV battery?

      @@Everythingevs I have a photo of the charger screen I took at 27% and 101kW, after like 30 seconds of charging... Later on it went to 106. As I said I plugged in becaues I was waiting for other reasons...
      Not to my knowledge, the car is all original, all updates and services done. It is low milage 44 000km/28 000miles, battery SOH shows as 96%

      Maybe you lucked out with a good HV pack. I’m at 44k miles and the HV battery was replaced at 30k miles, right before I purchased it. Then, since I’ve owned it, they’ve had to replace a module in the HV battery. JLR seems to just keep putting on bandaids to keep the batteries alive instead of actually coming up with a long term solution. The NHTSA in the US has recently stepped in and launched an investigation. They will probably end up forcing JLR to replace all 2019 HV packs with the revised one from the 2023-2024 model years. Only time will tell.

    How do you connect ABRP to the I-pace? A dongle? If so, what type?

    • @Everythingevs
      @Everythingevs  16 дней назад

      Via a Bluetooth dongle. ABRP only supports specific ones. They have a list available on the app.

    Have you dealt with battery fault on your IPace?

    • @Everythingevs
      @Everythingevs  12 дней назад +1

      Yes. They’ve replaced one module so far. From speaking with a tech at a dealership that has done over 30 module replacements, it’s just a matter of time before I’ll have another fault and have to get another module replaced. On the I-Pace it’s not if a module will fail, it’s when. JLR needs to step up and replace the entire pack for vehicles with the fault, instead of continuing to put bandaids on it.

      @@Everythingevs do you have any idea why it would take a slower charge rather than a fast one?

    • @Everythingevs
      @Everythingevs  11 дней назад

      Seems to be dependent on the severity of the detected fault. When mine faulted, it limited the max SOC to 72% and disabled DCFC (LVL3), but I could still charge on LVL 1&2. Then I’ve seen reports of people only being able to LVL 1 charge, and some people where it disabled charging all together.
