In my opinion the best interpreter of Chopin at all time I've ever heard. There is a whole universe compressed in every ballade, thousands millions years in every minute of playing, truly wonderful. I'm so proud to come from the same country. (At least one thing to be proud to.) RIP.
I have discovered Ivan only recently; I was blown away by his sensitivity, his shaping and musicianship. He has virtuosity but ONLY used in service to the music.
Moravec is one of a kind...a consumate interpreter of Chopin. His recordings of Chopin's Nocturnes are truely the finest. A materful work of art. Moravec rocks!!!
Jaky dobre clovek on bol tiez Ja mam uplne respect pren ho a lubim svoju hudba ked on dotknut tie kluce od klavir ja som pianista tiez aj viem kol'ko taz'ky hrat s citlivost What a great person he was as well. I've got complete respect for him and love his music when he touches the keys of a piano 🙏 I'm a pianist too and know how difficult it is to play with such sensitivity
I love Moravec's playing. So many great ones are gone now...Horowitz, Arrau, Rubinstein, Richter, Bolet, Michelangeli...we are so fortunate Moravec is still with us. He is very much of the stature of the piano masters I just mentioned, in my opinion. He is a wonderful Chopin pianist, and if you've never heard his recording of the Schumann Concerto, big, borrow or steal one! Or catch it on RUclips, if it's here
He certainly IS superior to showbaby LangLang(can't say showMAN really, can I). Only after I really took the time to listen to his Chopin Ballades I came to the conclusion that he is world's No. 1, second to none, at least for Chopin's works. Take it or leave it.

you are right to be proud. he was a true giant. as an Italian I'm proud that Benedetti Michelangeli recognised his genius
Agree!
Rest in peace... Pure honesty in each tone. Thank you for representation of our little country.

His recordings of the Nocturnes are my favorites.
A true artist, of the highest order. Every performance is unique, and true to the moment in service to the music.
I am a huge fan. you can hear every note with clarity. he does it all, and in the end its all about the music!

All in the hammer 'Felt', pun intended....

His interpretation of C. Franck's "Prelude, Choral, and Fugue" is the best ever!
Thank you for your comment

was known as the pianist's pianist
what is the piece at 3:25?
He’s merely testing out the piano by playing chromatic scales.
The short clip at 3:53 is the Fantasie in F-minor.
To je Pán :)
