Triple header could've been adapted instead of better late then never it would've established a dynamic between thomas percy and duck (I still hate that and scaredy engines are the only official stories to focus on specifically the three main tank engines)

Stop Thief should have been adapted for S4, Because “Fish and Mind That Bike” were both based on the RWS stories of the same name, and Caroline should have been the red car that Thomas is chasing, and it would be their first time interacting.

David Mitton said the replacement for The Missing Coach was Thomas, Percy, and the Coal. Many fans are of the view this is a Mandela effect on his part given that the story is technically complex for a replacement, and moreover it is thought that the entire series’ worth of shots were filmed on each set. Therefore many fans have surmised that it is Better Late Than Never as a replacement for these reasons, but I have seen other theories that suggest Percy Takes The Plunge.

The station Thomas stops at is Upper Brendam, meaning Thomas would've had to pass through Crosby, Wellsworth, Suddery and Lower Suddery to get there, not to mention that he is not even on the correct side of Elsbridge or even on his branch line for that matter, but instead stops on Edward's

Having used to have the book while watching the episodes, I have indeed noticed, on how different Thomas and Percy's incidents were in "Thomas, Percy and the Coal", along with how soon they forgive each other. Of course, because I enjoyed the TV series, while also finding it more dramatic, I had preferred the TV version, of Thomas' incident in "Thomas, Percy and the Coal". But I understand what you mean, on how much coal was poured out. I guess, that nobody realised, on how much coal should be poured out, when the last truck missed. And I did kind of notice, on James pulling vans in the TV version of "Better Late than Never", but I didn't find it being too much of an issue. ...Don't know how to make up for that, but I guess, that Thomas was just waiting for James anyway. And I did enjoy Terence, Annie, Clarabel and the inspector's added lines in "The Runaway". Oh, regarding "Drip Tank", I had wondered why it wasn't adapted...though I was flabbergasted at Thomas and Percy calling each other a drip. So, that is kind of one reason why I prefer them forgiving each other in the TV version of "Thomas, Percy and the Coal".

      @Thomasmemoryscentral 2 года назад +2

Adapting Drip Tank requires a new dilemma for the 2 since Thomas, Percy And The Coal on tv had them resomve their quarrel.
My only guess is maybe Thomas accidentally lashes out at Percy because he had a bad day and Percy takes offense at that when he wants some cheering up from getting his Boiler scratched?

My theory towards James arriving with the vans instead of coaches, in the TV episode of 'Better Late than Never', was to give Thomas some goods supplies for him to take down his branch line. But still it would have made more sense for him to arrive with coaches full of passengers. Also, did you notice in the episode that Henry didn't have coaches nor anything behind him at all, despite the fact he was supposed to be giving Thomas his passengers? That is really strange.

For those wondering which of the 3 adapted stories was not originally going to be adapted into an episode for Series (but later was because of the cancelled episode ‘The Missing Coach’), it is currently believed that ‘Better Late Than Never’ is the replacement episode. This is backed up by the the apparent randomness of this episodes placement in the series, some of the Thomas shots which are theorised to be reused from ‘The Missing Coach’ and what appears to be a deleted shot of Edward & Trevor crossing the Viaduct which looks like it would of been filmed for the episode ‘Thomas & Trevor,’ suggesting a very quick production. Although, this is just a theory and the latest believe episode to be ‘The Missing Coach’ replacement (‘Thomas, Percy & the Coal’ and ‘Thomas & Trevor’ have been theorised in the past as well.)

Here's something that I realised when thinking about the episode order based on this book's stories:
      1) The show's producers wanted more Thomas-centric stories to adapt, so after Chris had written the book, they could use the first story as Season 2's opener, seeing as Thomas is the main character and the show is named after him. However...
      2) In the book *The Runaway* is a continuation of the first story. Percy is mended following his accident (the reason he crashed is because something inside him broke), but then Thomas has to be repaired, so The Fat Controller asks Duck to help out on Thomas's branch line. But because Duck had not been introduced yet in the TV series, it made no sense to put that episode after *Thomas, Percy and the Coal.*
      3) *Better Late Than Never* feels like a pointless, standalone filler story in the book, which is a common occurrence in Christopher's books. However, on further reflection I realised that is not entirely the case. This is because in *Drip Tank* Thomas has his accident because he's trying to make up for lost time because of Henry being late. Although it's not mentioned why Henry is late, I strongly assume it's because the viaduct's repairs have not been completed.
      So, those are my thoughts.

So my theory about the coal hopper continuously pouring coal is that there's a certain amount of weight on the tracks under it the hopper automatically pours the coal.
when Percy overshot the hopper it had already been activated and when the coal falls on the tracks it automatically places that weight on the tracks causing it to continuously pour out.

I was hoping this would be different to the one originally uploaded to your other channel. I've noticed some things that I'd like to point out or ask about.
    1) Why is Principal Skinner shown? I do remember the _Simpsons_ episode where this scene appears; he's threatened by some heavies about money or copyright infringement or something like that, so he retaliates by getting rid of them using moves he learnt in the army. Does that sound about right?
    2) I thought that you would make a reference to the infamous line "It was time for Thomas to leave. He had seen everything." This was not present in the book, but the script writers included it.
3a) Henry is pulling a passenger train in the book when he is reasoning with Thomas about being late, but in the episode, he is just idling at the platform.
3b) "Impatientness"? Did you not mean "impatience"?
